Adjustable height of lights in grow tent

For years I’ve grown in a DIY wooden cabinet with my lights (Spider Farmer LEDs) mounted on pulleys screwed into the top of the cabinet for easy height adjustments and eyelets screwed into the walls to tie off the cords the lights hang from. I am switching to a Spider Farmer grow tent, but I’m struggling with ideas on how to hang the lights and tie them off.

How do you all hang your grow tent lights?

The lights normally come with a pulley system that clips to the top of the tent. If not, Amazon has them. There essentially pulleys with caribeaner clips on each end

I removed the wire hangers from my light and attached it with 4 rope ratchets in the upper corners of the tent. This allows me to pull it up to 10 cm below the tent roof, instead of 30 cm with the wire hangers. This was ideal for me with a tent height of 160 cm.

There will be bars on the ceiling, I space them so I can wrap the rope around the bar and clip the carabiner back onto the rope. The other side typically clips to the wire hanger on top of the light. In my case my carabiners are too thick to attach directly to the loops on my light. If I need more height I zip tie the light from the loops on my light directly to the bars. I’ll take a pic in a few when I get home.

I found the pulleys that came with the lights. I don’t know how I overlooked them. Thanks!

Nice! They work perfect. A lot of people setup the filter and exhaust fan outside the tent too, so you have more space to raise the light if needed.

I’ll still use a home brewed air system, I don’t really need a filter. If I did I would also put them on the outside, some of these girls get pretty tall. I’ll be trying Humbolt’s Pistachio this summer, not sure how tall they’ll get.
