Long story short I am growing my cannabis in a cabinet and wanted to know if I needed to install fans in the walls to alow inflow from outside the cabinet or if I should seal it shut and put fans inside?

Hi @ACPRIME2000
Preferably you want some air coming in and out like an exchange,
A photo speaks a 1000 words pal, how big cabinet, how many or just 1 plant, iv had a couple of good in my wardrobe  and done really well, it was white and really feel white is better than mylar, as foil, but if you could post a pic be cool

It’s 15x32x63inches and I’m lining the inside of the metal cabinet with plastic to help with air leakage and humidity.
I’ve currently only got 2 seeds germinating, so I wasn’t needing kuch space I felt like.

I can upload a picture after I get off work tonight

Cool mate that sounds like you have your little space all sorted, sure post a pic when you get a chance, sounds OK

Sure, it’s not finished yet, but any insight on the fan situation in the mean time?

I’m really new to this but everything I’ve ever read says you want airflow over the plant. Not too much, but something.

Hi @ACPRIME2000 would you be able to take a pic of your set up ! You said it’s in a cabinet but you will need air flow minimum blowing around them, an osalating fan, cheap on amazon 20 $or so

I have 3 fans working 24/7.
At the bottom near soil. Middle of tent. And above led light!

Thank you! I was thinking of installing 120mm dual cabinet fans about 3/4 of the way up on both sides and having a desk fan next to the base of the plants inside.

That’s a great idea pal

Go for it!:muscle:

I was wondering, would it be worth it to seal the cabinet with window sealer strips of since I’ve got the fans it won’t matter?

I don’t think that you need to seal it like it was to hold water. Just enough to mantain temp and humidity at same levels.

So would just the cabinet shut by itself be fine then? @slow.motion

Yes. If climate outside that cabinet is not extrem. Like Alaska during winter. You don’t need to worry about.
If you like there are some Tesa strips with glue in one side and some soft material in the other. Don’t know if you understand what i am talking about. It is enough to seal it!
