I was just wondering if anyone out there besides me try to experiment with just soil and water grows no fertz. to see what you can get with natural growth and lst training. Some strains grow great some not so much I get mixed weight results but bud is always great. just wanted to see if anyone else does this to see if they can find a sweet spot normally all I will change is pot size and go from letting them go normal to lst to see the results vary but always good bud. soil im testing now is ffof and ffhf.
My dad has had multiple harvests using nothing but super soil, it normally comes out great with either autos or fem seeds.
FFOF will do it. You just need to increase pot size and transplant when necessary
I focus more on autos for space so transplanting is a issue for growth. thats why Iโm experimenting with pot sizes and different methods to find out where ill get the best results while being able to grow multiple plants at once to have a staggered harvest
starting them in bigger pots will encourage over watering. A tall party cup is good for 4 weeks. Within another week they will be adults and ready for veg or flower. If you went directly from the party cup to a five gallon pot with good potting soil, you could probably go right into flowering at the fifth week and be careful not to over water. I am not familiar with autoflowering plants, but this might give you some insight as to how to handle your project.
thank you. I have done the cup method b4 but different autos grow at different speeds so sometimes the roots get a little bond up if im not quick on cutting the bottom off the cups and putting into bigger pots right now im doing 1,2, and 3 gallon grows in fabric pots. im doing one of each letting grow natural then 1 of each pot sizes with lst to see the varied results. all the same type of seeds to get a better baseline. they are taking awhile to get all grown as I staggered them when planing to be able to fit more in my grow space. so still waiting to see how each turns out I have noticed that the 2 and 3 gallon are showing much more veg growth compared to 1 gallon just dont know on the flowing side yet
New grower here! Experimented with sticking some seeds in a small pot and now I have 3 plants growing in the livingroom. They are about 11 weeks old, and I had questions about trimming the big leaves. I see the smaller leaves growing under them, would trimming the big ones benefit the plant over all?
No. Do not trim fan leaves. These are need for photosynthesis and sugar production.
Ive thought about doing it . not just yet testing out a few Named Strains โฆcurrently White widow and amnesia then im planning northern lights. . any particular strains that thrive on just water
