What kind of light schedule should I use during the cloning process? I have lights that can be red, blue, or mixed. Which color spectrum would be best for this process and how many hours of light will the clones need? TIA
I use 18 on and 6 off for seedlings and clones.
18/6 and the light doesn’t need to be very strong. The main focus right now would be developing roots. I typically cut the tips off the shader leaves so there is less light surface area to force the plant to start making roots. It’s kind of the opposite of what we normally do. Normally we want light to promote veg growth but when it comes to cloning we want a less powerful light to stunt the growth and initiate root growth
