Was wondering about the pros/cons of different tent setups and what experiences people have had with them. Mainly what are the pros/cons of different inline setups. Curious as to why I’ve seen some outside the tent. Is it strictly to make more room for vertical growth or is there a laundry list of things that I haven’t heard of. I’ve just built my own 4x4x6 and am trying to get an idea of how to setup all my equipment to avoid any issues down the road. Thanks ahead of time and wish everyone good grows and good vibes

I have a 5x5 with an oversized ac infinity inline fan on the outside of the tent. Having it outside allows me to raise the light to the ceiling which I do almost every grow. Having the fan oversized allows me to run at lower making the already quiet ac infinity fan even quieter. I prefer the buy once cry once so my whole setup besides the light is ac infinity. The light is the heart of the grow so get the best you can afford, I prefer HLG. When you get your carbon filter I recommend the ac infinity refillable one as it’s like $40 to refill instead of the expense of a new one every year or so. I appreciate the insight. I currently have 4x2x6 AC tent with Evo 3, 4 in non refill carbon filter( had it for like 3 years) should I worry about that. She runs like a champ still. I was planning on upgrading to the refillable One for the new setup but I’ve got the 69 controller Plus running that tent but I’ve got the filter on the inside because I really never go above about 3 ft so the rest of it’s kind of just empty space cuz I train all my girls and out. I was just wondering if I was missing out on any possible benefits or disadvantages from having it inside besides the height. You said you run everything across except light… whats your choice of light?

The other advantage of running equipment outside of the tent is it helps keep heat in the tent down a little bit. Every motor running produces a small amount of heat and it all adds up. Fans and filters are easier to reach for maintenance too if they are outside.

If you have the space inside the tent and it’s setup that way I don’t see a reason to change. My choice of light is HLG I’m currently running their 4x4 light in my 5x5 but upgrading to their scorpion Diablo when it’s back in stock. The blackbird for the 4x4 is enough to flower the 5x5 pretty well but I want more out of each grow.
