I’m growing a CBD Hemp Strain, Space Force. They are just regular seeds I got in a batch of bud.
I’m growing Indoor.
they are in organic seed starter soil.
I just need to know if they look good or if I need to do something for them. I’ve read everywhere not to add anything to the soil as seedlings but the signs are there for a nitrogen deficiency. Unless that’s just what they are supposed to look like? I know they have stretched out stocks, I had the light too far away the first week of growing. But I’ve been bending them periodically so they are very sturdy. Also I have no idea whats going on with the stunted plant. Please help.
You need to split those up into there own pots (bigger ones now), add an oscilating fan to help strengthen the stalks, and try using Coco Coir mixed with rice wholes, it will be easy to manage. Then try giving it a good soaking with a diluted mixtured of fertilizer
When you transplant those as ryno.b4ked suggested you should put them in a good potting mix (Fox Farms Ocean Forest) so the plant does not have to rely on you for proper nutrition. In fact, with that soil you can grow them without any additional nutrients. You can always at nutrients (if you want) as a supplement when they are a little older. Coco has no nutrients. I honestly don’t know why anyone would use it unless they have a great deal of experience. You can also bury them to make them shorter and add air current to strengthen them.
Whether you transplant or not or switch to potting mix or not you can add 1 tsp per gallon of water with General Organics: Bio Root (0-1-1) and White Widow Endo-Mycorrhizae for cellular development, stalk and stem strengthening, as well as root development. Dont over water. 1/4 cup is plenty right now. Use purified water and ph at 6.4-6.6.
Awesome! thank you both for the quick answers. I’ve been waiting till they were in Veg and big enough to transplant to 5 gallon buckets. Are they still too small for such a large container? I wanted to go as natural as possible so I have organic soil that I mixed bone meal in, and blood meal that I have diluted for weekly feeds once big enough. I just didnt want to burn the seedlings. Thanks again for your help.
Yes, they are to small for 5 gallon pot. I’d go to 1 gal and be careful not to over water. They should be good to go for 4 weeks maybe more in the 1 gallon
