First time grower. Excited but nervous!

I am so happy there is a community here for growers from all stages. I have been so excited for my new hobby since Arizona just legalized recreational Marijuana. However now that my seedings are sprouting I find myself thinking I am doing everything wrong. I know I’m going to make mistakes along the way, but I’ve never been good with plants. Maybe I picked the wrong hobby. Lol! Was anyone else nervous their first time growing?

Welcome!

I don’t think I was nervous but I had very low expectations and even though my weed turned out awful it was better than anticipated lol. I had all kinds of issues along the way but managed to keep the plant through to harvest and I haven’t looked back since.

What strain are you growing??
What’s your setup??

Welcome @Missa

I thought of my first grow as a great time to learn about the plant and the hobby as well. I started off with two gifted clones, one of which I must have subjected (intentionally) to most all new-beginner mistakes. I think the only thing I didn’t do was under-water.

Arizona huh? Dry country.

Have fun and help is always a mouse click away.

Welcome to the Community!!

I was nervours the first time but it I didn’t take it seriously, so it never actully happened, the seeds sprout and all, until flowering. A strong wind kill it, sad story.
I started to get it right after my 3rd time (getting it rights means make it to harvest and smoking my own weed)

I’m probably jumping right in, but I am germinating 4 strains (3 of each), hoping to get a female out of each strain. Jolly Rancher, Sour Patch Kiss, Warhead, and Sunset Sherbet. I didn’t choose all candies it’s what was picked out for me. All germinated except the Sunset Sherbet. Thinking they might be bad seeds. I might try to germinate another 3.

I am starting indoors until the nights are above 50 degrees. Then I will move them outside full time. They are in a seed germination tray with heating pad in rapid rooters. Currently under a cheap LED lamp on blue light until my T5 lighting comes next week. After enough roots are developed I will be putting them in fabric pots with coco coir and perlite.

Sounds good! Remember to go from a small pot to the final pot, the plant will need at least one transplant.

Welcome! This community is amazing! I’m new as well but luckily have my wife who is pretty much a botanist all around. I have a thread about whether my plants are female or male with some pretty good pics and Q&A’s. The community has always answered any questions I had/have.
So again, welcome and good luck!

чего переживать то рости раз хочется…

Welcome to the community. With this hobby, research will be your best friend. If possible, spend at least an hour a day in your garden, and don’t spend money on high end seeds till you work out the kinks of growing, and complete a grow from start, to harvest.

I have to say this advice has been so helpful! I bought cheaper seeds, and I am glad I did! I have made mistakes and am bound to make more. Now I try to spend time with my plants daily even if its just observing them.

Welcome big_T

Have you started your first grow yet?

Yes. It’s an unknown strain . I have 5 going in a 3x3 ts1000 and using mother earth coco perlite. Also using grow big.
I messed up by transplanting them early. Actually I transplanted them earlier today. Also used mykos and azos for the process.

I’m jumping the gun aren’t I.?
