First Time Help

Running a few unknown seedlings. First time getting them to sprout. Don’t have much to work with. Since, growing these a bit incognito. I am getting some pots, soil, and new lights this coming pay period. But trying to keep these guys alive til then. I am worried . Have a Coast LED PM300. I have this about 16" away. Is there something wrong with my babies? :frowning: they keep growing up towards the light and both cotlyedons are sticking straight up on 75% on the seedlings. Also, need help adding pictures haha

Without seeing them, I would guess they are reaching for the light. When your lighting is too intense they will droop. Try bringing the light closer for 3-4 hours and watch for change. When the light is too far away or not intense enough they will stretch. You need to find that happy medium. As an example, a 17 watt T5 flourescent is perfect at 6"

If it just doesn’t work. Just upload the pictures to your grow log and share the grow log link.

So what happened when you adjusted the light? Did it make a difference?

Hi @Thornberry, welcome to the Community!
The upload button for images is not working if you are using the Community via app. We’re working on a fix.

Just wanted to update. Made a sill closer to LED lights. plants stopped stretching and now the leaves are growing properly. Unfortunately, I had bent a stem while placing on top of the sill, after watering. Place a piece of tape and seems she’s doing :ok_hand: Wish I can upload, seems they’re still working on it. Trying to grab my logs link

please don’t judge haha I know it’s a bit over crowded. but they started germinating so quick. just trying to keep alive til I get my supplies next week. You all have been a great help. Burying the extra stem soon as I do get those supplies.

Hope this works

Every plant will need a 4 square ft area. Once you know how many total square foot you will need in your grow room, figure 60 watts per square foot for Indica, Indica hybrid and 70 watts for pure Sativa. For example, I have a 1500 watt KingLED for my 5x5’ grow tent.

I made a mistake in my last comment and edited it. Each plant needs a 4 square ft area, not a 4x4’. In other words, you should be able to grow 5- 6 plants in a 5x5 tent. I have four, that I topped twice in a 5x5 tent, and its getting crowded.
