I use the old fashion tupperware with napkins as the base, seeds inside, another layer of napkins and that’s it. Keep the napkins humid and put in a dark and humid place. Always worked.
I like doing it the way you are. Once you see roots coming out of the plugs you can easily transplant them right into your party cups without disturbing the roots.
I placed in cup for 2 days ,they sunk to bottom and waited for taproot to grow to about half inch. I then placed in wet napkin but here is something I did that I hadn’t seen done before. I also put a little bit of cocoa noir covering the seed in between the already wet napkin for an additional day. I got a 1 inch taproot to place into my mixture of organic soil and cocoa coir.
First grow was over the summer and we did the paper towel method. Germinated 5, 4 sprouted roots. Ended up with 1 male. Doing first indoor grow now and germinated with using seed in soil in with heating pad. Worked first time trying. Just trying different methods before starting auto seeds.
