The literature for this strain says flowering time is 8-9 weeks. I am currently at the middle of week 7. After looking at the trichomes and comparing them to the photos in Ed Rosenthal’s book, they appear to be ready. Has anyone experienced this or heard of this happening before?
Ive heard a lot of people say: when you think your bud is ready to harvest, let it keep growing for an extra week. They say its better. I havent grown befpre though, so Idk. My plants are finally showing flower after only 11 days!
Ive heard a lot of people say use the trichomes not the calandar.
I’ve always used the calendar to give me a ballpark idea of when to start checking the trichs. I’ve grown white widow and it took 8 weeks for the trichs to turn amber. Then again, that is within my environment. And I did harvest at the 11th week mark.
I did not take any pics, but I pulled them last night as the trichomes are turning amber. I’m just surprised that it was the middle of the 7th week, however, they were 12 weeks old when I switched them over.
Not really. Made 8 mistakes early on. This was my first grow. I’m not impressed with the quantity, but we’ll what the quality is like. I’m not hopeful. I’m looking forward to my other tent. This one went well.
Sounds like you made the right call. WW is a great strain, my first grow was ILGM WW and I harvested it too early, lots of small popcorn buds and airy colas.
