HELP! New grower

So I’m having a hard time understanding why my germs are not popping up from the soil. Is there a newt deficiency in the soil that I might need to combat? Please help

Did you soak em in water first? I normally soak mine for around 18 to 24 hours and then transfer them to soil. How long has it been?

I germed them a few days ago here’s what I am dealing with

I mean it looks like they are doing alright. The one is a little behind but I’m sure it will catch up quick. What type of light are you using? What’s your rh? Are they kept outdoors?

That soil looks super wet and compact. What is it made of?

Completely outside

I just watered them. I took the picture right after watering

Well it may be that the humidity is too low. I’m not sure where you live but seedling need a high RH to absorb water because you dont have an established root system yet.

I’m in Michigan it’s relatively humid here right now at 47%

Yeah you want your RH around 65 to 70 percent some say even higher… that would be the perfect RH for flower. I would put a 0plastic dome on them. Spray some water inside the plastic dome. I hope this helps!

Gee thanks man. Would a sponge help inside the plastic dome ?

It wont be necessary. Just lightly mist the inside and check on it daily. No problem I hope they end up monsters! Good luck

Thanks my guy

Hi, @KFP2021 welcome to the community! The issue here is the soil, is too compact and wet, like mud.
You need to change the soil so she can grow healthy, the roots need to breathe and it could end up in a stunted growth.

I agree with @NicoZ . Your soil is too heavy and too wet. They would be better in a good potting soil with perlite, vermiculite, etc to allow for moisture and oxygen both. They are basically drowning and suffocating.

Yeah definitely get ahold of some better soil, with good soil you want to be able to grab a wet handful of soil and squeeze it and it should fall apart with a gentle poke of the finger. That soil looks very compact so no oxygen is where the roots are so it’s most likely suffocating them. @KFP2021

Ya mate welcome to the community @KFP2021 but like you’ve heard now couple times, your soil to me looks like concrete about to set, now rather than later transplant to another mix so she can grow and breath in its mix, listen at the moment she looks nice and healthy but only seedling, so wish you all the best mate and happy growing
