Hey everyone… ive been growing a white widow autoflower naturally and trying not to go crazy with nutrients and see how a natural indoor would be for myfirst grow. So I’m at almost 80 plus days since i planted her and i noticed others harvested their white widow in way less time. should i chop her down or wait longer, i cant tell if im helping or hurting yield by waiting longer.
It depends on what the trichomes look like. If they are milky white with a touch of amber, she is ready.
yea there are alot of orange hairs except on the very bottom of the plant where the lil baby buds are, im trying to upload a pic but it won’t let me for some reason anymore
You should Google “close up pic of trichomes.” It’s not the orange hairs that determine ripeness, although orange hairs are an indication of flowers “reaching” maturity. You really need to see what the trichomes look like.
they are hella frosty except the ones close to soil… the lil small buds
This guide should help you tell exactly when to harvest, once they go from clear (photo 1) to milky (photo 2) check them frequently until you see hints of amber color here and there in photo 3 and its time to chop!
Photo 3 is when the thc content is at its highest point and will give you that overall enjoyable uplifting high, if you let them go past that point the thc begins to break down and make for harshness when smoked and give you a unfavorable couch lock kinda high. Kinda depends what you like but the ideal harvest time is photo 3
