i dont know how to determine when a plant goes into vegitative state or not so if anyone could help with that it would be appreciated! also trimmed two leafs that were eaten by a earwig about 4 days ago.
For me i consider veg stage to be in effect when plant has 2 sets of true leaves (4 total) not including the cotelydon leafs ( very first leaves that appear)
photos will be at bottom sorry if they kinda suck.
but my plant is growing its leafs in like sets of three currently. im confused tho because people are saying that once it grows it first 5 fingered leafs that its veg but mine are only three. maybe im getting the info wrong or im doing something wrong idk.
i plan to soon replant her into a black or dark cup/pot thats bigger. i didnt know it could cause root issues so thank you telling me!
and the whitespots went away it was just some residue im sure.
i also feel like growth is stunted but im not sure. there is some new lil growth.
Veg is when the seedling can handle full strength feed IMO. That is about week 4 from the time it breaks ground.
It’s not something you will see, it’s a stage us grower created for ourselves. I kind of imagine that the first set of real leave, the single pairs would be the beginning of veg, even though we wouldn’t call it that.
Yeah she is a little stunted for sure, by now it should be bigger but you just need to repot into better soil and pots.
The roots will die if they see light, that´s why clear pots are bad. Plastic or fabric pots that are for plants will do. But get a potting soil for cannabis, many generic potting soils are no good as they don´t have the right nutrients or consistency etc.
The plant is stunted generally bc the soil is too heavy and wet - you want a light, airy, on the dryer side soil so the roots can grow and breathe. When you water let the soil dry out between waterings, don’t keep it wet, this is what stunts and kills them. If they are too constricted they suffocate basically.
Then when the roots are happy you will see exploding, vibrant growth up top.
