Cool, if you look at the Kalini Asia here 19 days ago. Now today, 19 days later, on flowering day 5, the stretch has begun, already - a little monster baby stands there.
Now I keep the lamps at a distance of 35 cm with the dimmers at 75%. They tolerate the almost 400 watts quite well so far. Because Mexican Sativa and Sour Diesel are also showing their best side.
Mexican
Sour Diesel
The Sour Diesel is the only one with hand watering while the others are supplied with water via Auto Pot. And the lady is insatiable in the 25 L fabric pot. By the way, cool things from Royal Queen Seeds. Nothing runs out the sides. And plenty of air gets in.
The soil moisture saturation of the S. Diesel. Yesterday, 1.5 L in the morning, three hours later it was back near 40%, and so at noon, yesterday, another 1.5 L followed. At 57% she went into the sun day (artificial sun) at 4 AM. Immediately she opened her stomata, perspired like crazy, and like a pumping station, she drew the precious moisture up into herself. In no time, the soil was back down to 40% so that today around 7-8 AM she received her breakfast and a total of 3 liters of water flowed into the soil. All around. Without drain, which I don’t want in the Living Soil. She sucks up the water like a mechanical pump, which can be seen exactly in the steep drop on the photo.
With the current thirst, the first 1.5 liters are completely evaporated by late morning, and she would be scraping by in the critical range until noon.
Buffer for the Peak: With the full 3 liters, I push the soil moisture back well over the 60% mark. This gives the Living Soil enough moisture storage to survive the most intense metabolic peak of the day (during the main light phase) without stress.
The Living Soil is running at absolute maximum.
For my soil and the microbes, this rhythm is perfect. As long as the soil is well saturated in the morning and gently reduced to about 40% by the next morning, there is a perfect interplay of moisture (nutrient uptake) and oxygen supply (root respiration) in the pot.
I’m currently feeding the ecosystem in the pot with horticultural precision. As long as the photo shows me this rhythm and everything stays dry underneath, the Sour Diesel is running at absolute maximum.
Chapeau, I have perfectly cracked my lady’s “absorption rhythm”! Especially with her, with hand watering, I have this fully on my radar.
The view under the Scrog shows a lot of work in about 14 days for Lollipopping. One week before, it will be gently defoliated again.
Soon the net will be pulled to the front bar and fixed. Then they are allowed to march up, and if it gets too high, another Scrog tier will be added.
Best regards from Pflanzenpaule
