Thank you just messing about in all honesty little side experiments. Iv should be looking at doing them all like the gelato as im limited hight wise. The cream would of bin twice the size or at least half its size again, it got out of hand i had to massively reduce it hight twice and now again its literally on the limit with the light
Finally set up my UC lights and co2 bag! Can’t wait to see the results. Maybe my next run I’ll get a new light? Not sure what I should work on/improve next
Maybe not a light till next year actually. Any thoughts on what I could add to my set up? Running mars hydro ts 2000 light, ac infity fans, inline fan, UC lights, co2 bag, soil in 5 gallon pots. I prefer soil as it’s less work than coco or hydro and I’m familiar with it but am open to any input
Do you have the ac infinity ai controller? I believe it has a co2 monitor as well as some other great features
I Like Humboldt
I don’t, I didn’t even know it existed and just bought the other one a few months ago
Yeah it was just released recently. It’s probably my next upgrade. It’ll either be that or the Evo 8 light from ac infinity. Just have to decide which benefits me more.
I’m in the same boat. My light has been doing the job and still has plenty more juice if I need it and my controller works for what I need as I only have the inline fan plugged into it. I do need a co2 monitor but figured that the small bag I got in my 2x4 tent should do the job so I’m not really worried about monitoring. Unless I should be?
I think with a bag you should be fine. If you had a tank I’d say you need a monitor of sorts to be safe.
Oh for sure. That was my thought process too. Hoping between that and the UC lights that my grows will really thrive. Last grow was 7 ounces off 2 plants so now I wanna hit 8-10 ounces and go from there. Next run I’m gonna try out some photos too so really hoping to get a huge harvest
Thats a good return already off two autos, if you train a couple of photos well there should be no reason you can’t hit 12+
Thanks for the words of encouragement! I have plenty of height in my tent too. It’s 6’ tall so I can realistically push the plants to 4’ tall and use the trellis nets to fill it completely in!
7 ounces on 2 auto is a good number. Got to consider that some strains are higher yielding then others naturally.
For sure, I was very happy with that. Hoping to continue that production with an improved environment tho!
No doubt, i think we are all strive to improve from one grow to the next. I dont care how experienced anyone one is… there is always that feeling like it can be better. I want a good yield but, more importantly i want that taste and effect that just hits the spot. Yield is just a bonus in my mind. I can always fit in an extra grow to compensate lower yields if needed.
Grow that fire
Mine are now in total 108 days old and one is flowering since 73 days (Week 11 - Amy) and the other since 65 days (week 10 - Chantal). I have links to the GrowLogs in my profile and posted them also in the right category.
Today later after work I gonna harvest both. I’m really curious how much my first grow gives me😁
Just my thoughts on which is easier, Yes, the setup of the system itself is more work/expense in the beginning but overall, growing in coco is easier and less work than DWC or soil in small (under 10 gallon) containers.
HFF/DTW in coco is like paint by numbers . . . put the system together, dial in the environment and follow a proven nutrient feed schedule to harvest. Feeding a fresh, stage specific nutrient solution to runoff one or more times a day basically eliminates deficiencies for most strains and allows you to run smaller containers; no worries about when to water, feed, amend, top dress, etc.
I currently run 3 15 gallon reservoirs, 2 for flower room and one for veg, I spend 30 minutes or so a week mixing nutrients . . . timers, pumps and drip lines take care of the actual feedings. 90% of the time I’m in the grow room is hands on stuff with the plants . . . trimming, training, taking clones and such. f I need to be away for a few days or so I just check the reservoirs are full and they’ll be fine for up to a week before pH drift becomes an issue.
I’ll be there eventually! My problem right now is I have to contain everything inside of my 2x4 tent for aesthetics as it’s in our guest room/the room my mom stays in when she’s here. Once I have a full spare room, I’ll go crazy with all of that!
Dude soil is easier I top dress 3 times total per cycle. It takes me all of 10 minutes to do 5 plants. And I only water 1 maybe 2 times a week. Coco is WAY more work. I don’t have to worry about ec or pH. And my grow bags are 10 gallon.
