How old is your guys plant ? send a pic or comment

Correct. Crisp is open. Sweat is closed. You’re allowing the smaller buds that are dryer, to pull moisture from the larger ones, and vice versa. It’s a great technique for extending the dry and makes for much tastier pot. Takes some practice but generally speaking, you are starting with shorter sweat/longer crisp sessions on the first day and gradually increasing sweat/decreasing crisp times as you keep an eye on your humidity and temp. Like I’ll try not to leave the house on the first day and keep a close eye on my environment numbers. If I have to go do errands or go to work then I’ll crack the container.

Interesting I’ve never heard anyone do that but I actually love it. Would a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket with lid work?

My mentor taught it to me. The guy from the build a soil videos does the same kind of thing.
I’d use a storage bin sized container that is wider and not as deep as a 5 gallon bucket.
This is the Husky

I imagine anything similar in size would do well but you definitely want something wide and shallow so that everything inside is a little more even in moisture.

5 gallon version. I use both depending on yield.

Thanks! The wide and shallow thing makes sense. I’m gonna give it a shot!

Nice dude! I just turned my buddy up here onto it. He’s managed a 150 plant farm in Michigan and grows :fire:. He borrowed my Husky and ran his last run with the sweat and crisp technique. Said it was the best dry he’s ever had. So there’s that.
Hit me up if you have any questions and good luck man!

I use ice in a big bowl with a fan on it to bring down temps and raise humidity.

Smart, I’ll have to try that when I get home today!

How long does your bowl of ice normally last?

I have six ice trays and use two trays at a time. A qingping temp and humidity meter that has alarms that make it to my watch to monitor when the temp gets to high or the humidity gets to low. I also use a humidifier so the humidity never gets to low. At first the ice goes quick until the area is cooled down. I use a closet. once it’s at the temp you want it it will cool my closet 4-5 degrees lower than my lung room temp for about 4 hours. I would assume it would work better in a tent. experiment.

Awesome, thanks for the info. It’s my first time really trying to dry properly so I definitely appreciate all the guidance from everyone

would also be a possibility

I love the creativity everyone uses! If I wasn’t growing in our spare room/the room my mom stays in when she’s there I’d just run an ac and call it a day but since I’m trying to be courteous, I’ve gotta Mickey Mouse things to make it work lol

Been a minute since I’ve posted here.

Back in the lab with Godfather OG and Magic Candy Mountain OG this run on day 43 of flower. These ladies almost died as seedlings when my daughter accidentally sprayed them with bleach water while i was out of town :man_facepalming:t5:. I had to veg them for a month longer but they are healthy plants now. 20 or so days until harvest…time for these girls to pack on some weight.
