First 8 day cycle finished in the vcure. Buds sitting in grove bags currently to finish curing, still had a bit of a green smell to them. Humidity held at 55% overnight in the bags. I’m assuming the 14 day cycle will yield much better results. Considering it dried and almost cured a plant in 8 days, I’m very happy with the result. Now onto round two, sour diesel all loaded up.
That’s pretty fuckin awesome!
The OG canna troll is on sale for $1150, what do you think?
Never mind, don’t wanna get murdered by the old lady lol
$1150? Maybe we can thank Vivosun for that . . . possible their new vcure contributed to the lowered price.
Seriously, I’d love to have either unit at the moment but the limited capacity makes it too pricy for me. I need something that can dry/cure 4 or more plants at a time . . . but I’d need a second mortgage to pay for it.
So true! For me I’m in a 2x4 and pull right around a lb every harvest. I dont even think this would have the capacity for my weak harvests!
I’ve expected to see cannatrol come out with something bigger for home users but to date I haven’t seen anything about an increased capacity unit in the works for us.
Maybe time to take the DIY mini fridge version to the next level and convert the upright freezer . . .
Honestly, I would give it a try if I had any grasp of electronics and programming something like one of the raspberry type computers as a controller. I’m dealing with single digit temps and 15-20% humidity at the moment . . . now would be a good time for me to have a bit more control over my drying environment.
That’s brutal! I’m gonna stick with the tent drying for now. Hoping to come across a used cannatrol that I can justify the cost on it the future lol
I was able to fit 2 medium to large plants in this second run of the vcure. So if you staggered you’re harvest it should work out OK. For me this works since this run nothing was really ready at the same time. That said I’m essentially dragging this grow out and losing time for the next grow. So instead of 3 harvest per year I’ll probably get 2 full harvests and part of a 3rd run in a year. I’m probably going to tent dry most of my harvest going forward and only use the vcure for a couple of the plants. It really did make some nice smoke from the first run.
That’s good to hear man. I almost pulled the trigger but realized I was just buzzed and shouldn’t do it lol. I need to disable purchases after a few beers but at the same time most of my solid purchases are made when buzzed ![]()
That’s how I ended up buying 50 seeds on rqs last night, except I was just really high after eating some rso and smoking a lot of flower in my DHV. I can’t be trusted with my debit card lmao.
Hi, absolutely, with coco coir, the main advantage is that it has no energy value; it’s simply a growing medium. Therefore, it’s essential that your coco coir be combined with other drainage materials like perlite, clay pebbles, or volcanic rock to optimize your plant’s growth. You can therefore go from four waterings with fertilizer to one with an enzyme solution. Consequently, with coco coir, you need to be meticulous in understanding all your parameters and interpreting them correctly and at the right time.
For sure, I’m digging it so far and have been keeping up with the learning curve for the most part lol
