How old is your guys plant ? send a pic or comment

The more I look at that, the more I like it. Any suggestions on reservoir ideas would be great!

I use plastic totes, 18 gallon seems to work well for my needs. Bigger and I have to deal with pH drift, smaller and I have to refill too often.

Octopot likely has something similar, I had just noticed the AC Infinity ones recently when browsing their grow goodies.

Yeah, I’ll have to research it cuz the ac infinity resevoirs are way overpriced lol. I’d also need to figure out how prop this up higher in the octopot reservoir so that it keeps them at least half full. If I just put these into the bottom of the octopots, the water level in there would be too low

Smart lol. For the autofill float in the resevoir of the octopot, I’d have to just rig it on top of something at the level I want it filled to right?

So with the float valve itself you’d install it so when the float closes the valve the water level is at the height you want. They typically work better with a pressurized system but if you can elevate the res bottom to be 4’ higher then the autopot res you’ll create 8-10+ psi which is more than enough to make it effective.

Octopot sells an upgrade kit also. Involves drilling holes and installing bulkhead fittings and float valves:

You guys are amazing!

I think I like those ac infinity ones rigged into a big reservoir. Seems like best and cheapest way

I can’t see $130 there either, for the most part the Octopot kit looks like some standard irrigation supplies you could buy a lot cheaper from the local hardware/ag store . . .

Yeah, I thought so too!

So I think I’m confused on how you plan on setting up the float valve. I think any system you set up will require you to drill a hole for the float valve in the pot res and then attaching to a bigger res with something like a 3mm tube. Is that how your thinking?

Yesterday I applied all the new stuff I got then tossed on new mulch. Cleaned up the straw that went everywhere, it’s so messy, after the pic. Back row is chembap at day 21 it’s in the actual soil. Front is gus scout cookies at 10 days old still in solo cups till this weekend. Blumats are confirmed firing so we are golden for the start of this run. I will say they seem off to a bit of a slow start for some reason. Oh well that’s autos for ya, photos I wouldn’t be as worried as I could veg however long I’d like.

Pretty much exactly what I’m thinking
