So I did a little research and found out buildabloom takes 1-2 days to be absorbed and it has potash in it. I applied it yesterday so we shall see. I didn’t see and progression of the deficiency from yesterday to today. Buying bananas today just in case. If I don’t need them I’m gonna make a ferment for future use.
ahhh nice to hear no issues with new growth and no future issues bud
end of week 1 flower and all seems to be going well so far. no signs of deficiency which ive always faced at this stage and nothing stretching too crazy but doe have some decent stretch happening and not bad stacking on most of them. heres the beds and a few im looking forward to. beds have sour berry shakes, infatuation, cherry sunrise and maui mindworker and the pots are head candy and rocksalts
Lookin good man!!
Damn dude looking good
thanks man & mj. im hoping for my biggest yield to date or just able to keep them healthy the full way and continue using the new feeding program. ive been aiming for about a 2 day watering and giving just enough to moisten the entire pot and maintain a decent dry back phase and seems to be working well and also tuned the blumat carrots to give a little more dry back and so far so good
Your grow space is a marvel bro, can’t wait to move into a 3 bedroom apartment where I can convert the 3rs room into a grow room & gaming rig
Looking great. The scrog filled in nicely too
Today, the plants received a special cocktail of dandelion decoction, nettle slurry, Fulvic Acid, and Grow fertilizer. Let’s see if their potassium deficiency disappears with it.

Pink Runtz Sherbet Queen Green Gelato Panoramic view And in the lab, the Royal RuntzPotassium is striking everyone lol. Sounds like you got on top of it early.
Whether I have it under control yet, I don’t know. In any case, I now have a plan. And since 50% grass and 50% various herbs
grow in my garden, I still have plenty of dandelions, nettles, ground elder, and other so-called weeds that I can process into teas and liquid manure.
If this whole thing works out well this way, I might try next time to fertilize one plant using only such means. For comparison, I will fertilize one of the same strain with normal fertilizers. And if it goes well, I will then only use self-made fertilizers.
That’s going to be a cool test. I’m watching a video from “garden like a Viking” right now. He does all of natural inputs.
That sounds interesting. If there’s anything good, please let me know.
Hey @BluntForceTrauma420
I briefly looked at the damage symptoms yesterday and was able to do some research today.
I don’t think it’s a Potassium deficiency.
Rather, the whole thing looks like Cal-Mag.
The damage pattern on your leaves strongly indicates a Calcium deficiency, possibly in combination with a slight Magnesium deficiency (often referred to together as a “Cal-Mag” problem).
Here is an analysis of the symptoms and how you can solve the problem:
1. Checking the Symptoms
- Brown/Bronze Spots: These necrotic spots are typical for calcium deficiency. Calcium is an immobile nutrient; this means the plant cannot transport it from old leaves to new ones.
- Location of the Spots: The spots often appear on the middle to upper leaves that are directly exposed to light.
- Yellowing between the Leaf Veins: If the edges also turn yellow or the color between the veins changes (Interveinal Chlorosis), magnesium is often also lacking.
2. Possible Causes
It is rarely because there is “no” calcium in the soil at all. Mostly, the plant simply cannot absorb it:
- Incorrect pH value: This is the most common cause. If the pH value in the soil/water is too low (acidic), calcium is blocked (“Lockout”).
- Soil: An ideal pH is 6.2 – 7.0.
- Hydro/Coco: An ideal pH is 5.5 – 6.5.
- Too soft water: If you use rainwater or very soft tap water, the natural minerals are missing.
- LED lighting: Strong LEDs stimulate metabolism so much that the plant consumes more calcium and magnesium than it can replenish through its roots.
- High humidity: Calcium is transported through transpiration (evaporation). If the air is stagnant or too humid, the plant does not “pull” enough water upwards.
3. What you should do now ;
|1. Check pH value|Check the watering water and the drain (the water that comes out of the bottom of the pot).|If it is below 6.0 (in soil), you need to raise it slightly.
Alternatively, a soil pH tester.
- Cal-Mag Supplement|Get a special Cal-Mag preparation.|Calcium and magnesium should be given in a ratio of approx. 3:1.
- Foliar feeding (acute help) Spray a very weak Cal-Mag solution directly onto the leaves (when lights are off!). This helps the plant faster than going through the roots.
- Check ventilation. Make sure that a circulation fan gently moves the leaves. This promotes transpiration and thus nutrient transport.
The already brown spots will not turn green again. The leaf is permanently damaged there. Instead, pay attention to whether new leaves grow healthy when the pH is correct and some Cal-Mag is applied.
Greetings from Paule
Epsom salts are great source of both Mg & S. It is absorbed immediately. You can use as a follier spray. I sprayed my ladies just after lights out and noticed an improvement the next morning. 1 tbsp per gal or 5 g per liter.

Day 6 Drying Platinum Cake & Northern Lights.
Checked on the girls today. Tried the snap test but got just a bend. Succombed to temptation and snipped the little bud of NL#1 at bottom of plant. Tasted like chlorophyl but got really stoned.
How do you like him? I thought he was super good for a beginner like myself!
Today, the girls got a heavy haircut, and while I was at it, I also re-secured them to the pot.

Pink Runtz Sherbet Queen Green Gelato Now they’ll get a few days of rest and recovery. Then I’ll tie them back into shape.I watched his interview on the Mr Growit podcast. It was kinda rough to watch, he didn’t answer a lot of the questions straightforward. He kinda just said what he wanted even if it wasn’t an answer to the questions. I’ll have to check his channel out. Seems like he is a wealth of knowledge. I like his approach to not buying nutrients.
