Humidity issue

Hey guys I’m growing a OG Kush plant in a grow tent with two 1200 watt LEDs.She’s been flowering for about 6 weeks. I cannot get the humidity above 25-30%. Its winter where I live and the tent is in my basement. I soak up the runoff from when I water her with a towl and keep it in the tent, raises it about 5% but I’m not sure what else to do

With those conditions, the only thing I can come up with is a humidifier but the ones not sold at grow shops are difficult to control/regulate the amount used.

Beyond equipment that you could buy in a grow shop to control humidity, I am not sure what can you do but I imagine you thought about that and discarded it because of the cost. They could be pretty pricy.

Okay thanks alot! How big of a effect will that low of humidity have on them? Will it effect the growth of the buds?

I would be more worried if it was over 55%.

I live in an area with the same problem, RH is always very low (also 25% - 30%), and the humidifiers available that would work on my tent size (10’ x 10’) are expensive, so I built my own using a fountain pump for just under $100:

The PVC pipe is just a frame, I had it lying around and it is easy to build with. The fountain pump is a 70 GPH, high overkill. The fan is a 20" box fan.

It raises the RH by up to 30% in the tent, if I don’t control it the RH increases to around 55 - 60%. To keep it in balance I have a dehumidifier I purchased that keeps the tent at 45%, I just have to empty it every 4-6 hours.

okay sweet ill give it a try. looks simple enough
