That’ll only raise my ppm by like 50 if I’m lucky.
I think 4ml is way too low, but maybe I could drop it in half and feed it 2x per week. It tells me only up to 2x per week and I was only gonna do that if they became huge
Also all the leaves r dark green, starting to even nutrient burn a little bit. But since I flushed I do plan on starting again. But with a lower level. I feel she loves the Big Bloom, I might just need to go a little bit more on nitrogen, and I’ll try to buy some Distilled gallons of water for feeding my plants from now on. Is there a way I could use home water just so it’s cheaper, I have 5 gallon buckets I can use for storing it.
Aren’t u giving it less than the amount I’m already giving it so if it need more nitrogen then should I just give it the 5 instead of 4 over the week, cause then it’s supposed to go up to 10ml.
Holy crap that stuff needs a lot each feed.
This is from my own experience…I’m using Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and Calmag(RO water) 15ml each to one gallon of water. I don’t use any straight water and my girl is going insane with growth ( over a foot in a week)and development since I started doing this 2 weeks ago. I’m going to be getting the grow , micro and big bloom and start using them as well.
Would u mind helping me with figuring it out. And u say 15 ml, does that mean combined, and have you gotten lockout at all?
Or are you using 5ml of calmag and 10ml of fox farms? But I might just try to listen to all of u guys and like cut what I was feeding it in half and feed it 2x per week. Which I would do 15ml of big bloom, 2.5ml of calmag, and 10ml grow big during veg, 5ml grow big and 5ml tiger bloom, then 10ml tiger bloom. I want to do better so please continue to help me learn and do better.
Also what about for smaller plants??
@Yvngstonie
I use;
15 ml calmag
15 ml tiger bloom
1 gallon water
Use till gone make another one and so on.
When I first start veg I’ll go 1/3 strength and work up from there weekly.
My calmag only says to use 5ml per gallon so… couldn’t that be over kill?
I instaled a 6stage RO water filter from amazon 130-140 gbp works wonderful just wish i got the one with the pump as water pressure in my house is low. Takes like 4 hours to fill 6.5L but my best investment yet as Ro water for me was around 15gbp for 5L ![]()
Ignore the washing up water was of at that time
@Grant2047
I’m sorry to inform you…but that’s only a 5 stage filter not 6 your missing a filter…
See this is my 6 stage RO system.
The big tank is only a reservoir for clean water till you use it.
I would be getting a refund from Amazon if they said it was a 6.
Mine Calmag says 15 ml per gallon per week during flower…
But the amount givin over the week it’s not getting much more and added over the entire week instead of all at once.
I take vitamins everyday myself just for the extra my body needs do I take the recommended dose…most of the time but others I don’t just depends on what my body needs.
Just like your plant you have to adjust for what it needs to thrive.
I was worried about fertilizer at first but the advice I’ve gotten here and don’t know how many articles off the net I’ve read…there is no perfect dose and what’s on the labels is the “recommended dose”
Sorry:joy:
5 stage i suppose i didnt have the extra pennys lol will what does the extra fillter do ?
No need to apologize ![]()

.
I found out straight 5 stage RO water is not good for humans to consume regularly , it wont rehydrate you(people say otherwise) cooking with it if fine but not drinking. The 6th stage adds minute amounts of minerals back in to where humans can drink it.
I use RO water for drinking , cooking , in my aquariums and now here with no problems. It’s PH is 6.0 out of it.
You’ll have to do more water adjustments to 5 stage.
I’m not sure how long ago you got yours or how much you paid ( if you can get a refund still ) but I got mine at the Walmart marketplace for $180 and had it in less than a week.
Ok, I have calmag by Bushdoctor, it says 5ml per week, and if it’s 15ml per week, you could drop it to 7.5ml and feed it 2x per week? I have just dealt with so much over fert by feeding either too much ppm or too often. But then again… it does say for like feeding with grow big or tiger bloom can be fed up to 2x per week, but calmag can only be fed 1x per week for me. So idk but I did increase. I was always mixing grow big and big bloom with calmag 1x per week. But I think I was dumb to use calmag with my tap water since it has 200ppm already at tap. So I changed to distilled water. Hopefully it’ll work better. I’ve also increased my dosage to 15 grow big, 5ml of calmag, and 30 ml of big bloom. So the ppm was around 750 ppm, with the EC at like 1.3.
@Yvngstonie
To be honest…I have no idea about ppm or EC and unless if you only feed once a week you might not get the whole gallon into one watering which means it’s not getting the full nutrients. But if you use it all during multiple feedings you get it all. I get around 2 feedings off one gallon , so if I only did it once a week I’d only get half the dose. If you wanted you could just always add water after the first feeding to dilute it more but still get the full dose for the week.
My Calmag is Cultivation Nation so that why the difference in amount. If it was me and a young plant I’d start with 1/2 what’s recommended so there’s less chance of burn , but full strength with normal size plants and adjust from there.
There is no magic amount to use considering that variables; environment , age , soil/mix , lights and even the size pot used. So you just have to start with a base and go from there.
If you want to know what’s in your tap water your local hardware store should have a test kit and will let you know. If your worried about the chlorine put in tap water just let it sit in an open container for 24 hours before use and it will evaporate.
Well she looks beautiful but she’s in the beginning of flowering going through her stretch phase because in veg cannabis plants only will grow 2” per night if all conditions are right.
You don’t need to use the whole gallon, that’s just the ration and PPM levels getting to where they should be for a proper nutrient level. But if you give it half the gallon the ratio is still there. Because my small plants can’t drink a gallon a week, my veg plants might but that’s still too much for them I think lol.
