I need help knowing how much of the Nute/water mix to put in the soil of my plant

New grower issue! I have a plant from a random seed I planted that is starting veg stage. Its looking like it’s suffering from some Nute deficiencies so I went and bought some Miracle-Gro plant food since I couldn’t find the stuff that was suggested by some other growers in this app where I live I mixed it like the directions said one teaspoon to a gallon of water but what I don’t know is how much of the plant food to put into the soil :man_facepalming: so I put enough to soak the soil did I do right or do I need an exact measurement please help!! Link for my grow log is up top thx

Hello and hope your doing well. I took a look at your grow log and id say at her stage and that pot size a 16oz bottle of water should do the trick. As for miracle grow lots are against and some have used it for grows as people have stated its to concentrated in nutrients and will burn the plants up but if thats all you have to work with i would start off with half dosages when feeding (1/2 nutes per gallon) until ya see some deficiencies occur (if any at all). As for your soil do are you using a particular kind ? Most will have nutrients in them to last a little bit and with your size pot i would think there is enough nutrients for now and you may be having a ph issue which can also look like nutrient deficiencies and adding more nutes could do more harm than good. And if you have any questions or concerns feel free to continue to ask and myself as well as this community will be more than happy to assist

Hello, so right off the bat let me say welcome to the community! And let’s get this baby some help. 1) when you start pots I use solo cups at firsso I can ensure the plant develops a really good rootball. Also I would stay away from miracle grow, that’s probably what’s doing it to her. The best choice of action would be some dry ammendments, I use Gaia Green but you could likely use StaGreen from Lowe’s or Walmart. It has a 444 and 284 nutrient mixes. And then I personally have gone to using coco with perlite. Miracle grow just isn’t it for these babies and the ratio is usually off and has extended nitrogen in it so all the other burrs will drop off first which isn’t good. If you wanna go liquid nutrients I would purchase the basic fox farms trio to get you going with a bottle of calmag as well. You’ll want a pH pen and EC pen to measure both for what your putting in and what’s coming out the bottom.
So stop using miracle grow and give her a little watering only around near the outside of her leaves, maybe 1 in circle around the outside of where the leaves reach to so those seeds keep pushing for new water. Don’t be too hard on yourself either, it’s your first plant, I straight up overwatered and dampened off one of the first 3 I began at first, so it’s all a learning process.

But Foxfarms trio, Calmag, pH pen, EC pen, and perhaps a bottle of sledgehammer from bushdoctor to try to knock the miracle grow outta there and replace it with some good nutrients. ALSO I stay away from ANY synthetic lineups, bottles or dry ammendments, I only grow organic cause I’m puttin it in my body I don’t want more chemicals lol.

But good luck! If you need any more advice PLEASE don’t hesitate to post again!

Hey there! Hope your doing well. So of course it depends on the country, but if your in America, I have found that Pacific Seedbank is my go to. I tried ILGM but their shipping process when i ordered was sorta botched and I didn’t like it. But there are a few others like Royal seed bank. But I go with pacific seed bank cause I can order like 10 strains, get however many I need for my tent run, keep the best one as the mother plant, kill the rest. And it’ll get down to around $10 per seed, but they have some pop up sales, where you could get 10 seeds for like $70 bucks, which is CRAZY. They have auto flowers, feminized, and regular to choose from. Their seeds have a pretty good germination rate of ~95% germination rate. All of the info for the strains is available on their strain data on each strains page. I would give them a peek. Purple Monkey Balls sounds strange but is actually one of my favorite indicas for effects and flavor. One of the highest ones I could find was Swiss (Indica) and Godfather OG, both feminized. But check it out you’ll see what I’m talking about
