Few questions regarding this light for anyone who also use this light.
I’m currently in veg stage of growing. What light height is best for this stage?
I can’t seem to find any information on light height for this specific light.
That being said my light height is 17 inches from canopy throwing 345-350 PPFD at them. Pushing to 500 slowly. Would this be good? Or should the light be raised as my dimmer is set to 50% I don’t want to be throwing too much power into these plants if they can’t handle it. If I raise my light it will also make me dial my dimmer higher.
I think 345-350 is great plus the plants would show you if the light is too close. I like to see the leaves “praying” a bit towards the lights which I’ve studied has a lot to do with the plant getting it’s ideal amount of light. If she is already feeding ide wait till shes a bit taller and see if her leaves start praying as she grows closer to the light. If she does not start having praying leaves then I would slowly increase light intensity a couple tick marks at a time until she does so. There is a possibility that some cultivars won’t “pray” but I haven’t ran across any. Also one early sign for me that the light may be too close or intense is the side of the leaves start to curl up like a taco so keep any eye on that as an indicator and watch your plant reach up towards the sky
