Mold, seeds and potential salvation 4-5th week of flower

Grow log above although here’s the story,

I received this neglected plant that was ready for flower. I had cleaned it up and was working on treating wpm in addition to spider mites. I have found now that there are buds molding which I can probably attribute to my application method of Dr. Zymes being too wet in combination with lack of airflow and we have been having weather varying from 90°F days to pouring rain during which time I have had some humididy issues… I do have 2x 8" oscilating fans in my tent in opposing corners above the canopy although angled down towards the plants. (one fan visible and the plant of concern is in the lower left corner)

To add on to the issue there was a plant that hermed and pollinated the others so seeds are happening. So I am up against whether to let them finish out some more and try remediating the mold issue or just cut my losses and do a salvage harvest of what I can. The other two plants don’t seem to be having the mold issue at this time. I have a bunch of auto seeds and have just been waiting for these to finish so I can start down that path.

BTW, lessons learned:

  1. don’t play with bag seeds unless you understand the possible risks to the other plants in the same environment (it was a bag seed that herm’d)
  2. be better at defoliation, not just leaves blocking bud sites of light but also blocking good airflow
  3. refine ipm application methods, maybe finer misting
  4. don’t play with bag seeds when you have good genetics that you have paid for
  5. did i mention no mixing bag seed with good plants? Ok good.

Thanks for the story! love your setup!
A really sad story indeed.

Did you harvest eventually?

I have been trying to spot treat the issue and decided today to cut my losses and move on. I plan to chop/inspect/h2o2 wash tonight. I’ll be using whatever is viable from the harvest for extraction and edibles.
