Hello everyone. I have a very limited growing area. As you can see. I have a snowboard that I won in a raffle twenty something years ago(still brand new and in the plastic) sitting on a keyboard stand. This is the window I have for growing. No grow lights, nutrition, fancy soil etc… Do they look ok? I planted them all at the same time. Had some problems like transplanting, dropping some etc. started with twelve and now down to seven. I guess that’s ok. I guess mu question would be……will I get buds?? Just some seeds I had laying around. Poked a hole in the dirt and dropped in the seed. I think they are Stativa(Kush).
If getting enough sunlight and water yeah i would think you’d produce something, may not be a huge yield and may run into some deficiencies without proper nutes but if just looking to see if youll get anything most likey. You may just got some luck and have decent soil and strain that does well lol. They look healthy so far so keep up the good work and def keep us updated
I basically wanted to see if I could grow something. Would it be worth it to invest in a light etc… Figured I’d make my mistakes now and also to see how everything works, grows.
Again thank you.
If this hobby is something your really into and growing indoors then yes a decent light would be a huge advantage for you and if going to grow outdoors a light will be useful to start plants indoors and moving outdoors ( wont need an expensive light for seedlings that will be going outdoors). Depending on how deep down the rabbit hole you want go this hobby can be expensive. Overtime youll learn lots and buy better stuff like lights, fans, tent, ect. Making ya pissed. You spent on stuff you wont use anymore when more experienced lol but those expenses add up over the years unless you go overboard so i think your doing it right by spending minimal to learn. And each grow operation youll notice so much progression compared to first and second grows. Not to mention the more questions you have the more info you can obtain in this community. Happy growing bud and feel free to ask anything
Ultimately its up to you on if its worth it. Just understand that with better equipment/environment comes greater yield. Because you have just window lighting, your plant stayed small, which then didn’t require much nutrients. So, if you were to add a light you’d be required to feed it more.
Your plants are doing good. No brown leaves and healthy. Before you go for fans and other Investments, I would read a bit more.
One thing I can recommend is to move one plant to a bigger pot and see how it works. More space allows more roots to grow and helps the plants get better chances for more buds. After one, the try a few more plants till they all get better spaces.
I work with sunlight, all my plants are out in my balcony. I don’t use lights, fans or humidifiers now in summer time. The pots, I made out of cheap building materials.
I haven’t been feeding them being I got that Miracle Grow soil which says it feeds up to six months. I know, I know. I’m a beginner.
I’ll give them a little taste today since it’s water time.
I think most of us started out our days on MG (Miracle gro) and there is nothing wrong with that. MG handles veg really well. keep in mind with the plant getting less light its staying smaller which then demands less from the soil. The real test will be in a couple more weeks when its trying to stack bud and its pulling everything out of the soil.
The plant looks really healthy, so you are doing a awesome job.
perfect conditions and genentics may give you perfect results but end of day its a weed i personaly think they are more hardy and versatile than fertalizer companies make out , and i think ppl tend to over complicate it making it confusing for new growers
