Hi everyone, new and first time growing. Need some advise or help here. So I managed to germinate 2 seeds and was successful with being able to see the taproot. Then I placed it in soil that’s mixed with Perlite but it’s been 6 days now and coming on its 7th day soon but still no contyledon leaves to be seen. Can anyone help?? I’ve kept the humidity at about 70%. Sometimes the humidity jumps higher or lower. It’s anywhere from 60 to 80% humidity. Lighting as im new I only use a light meter to keep it at about 6000-7000lux at about 12" away. Everyday been spraying it with water. So basically, been doing the very basics of what needs to be done but still no contyledon leafs. Pls do share any advise or thoughts. Really appreciate it.
The could’ve died before they were able to surface. It has happened to me when I buried too deep. I was sad as I saw it start to peek out but I was too late by then
They could have been buried too deep like Legend said or if you were watering everyday the taproots may have drowned. Not sure how much you were watering. Usually you have the seeds in a humidity dome until they pop out of the soil. It’s possible they will still come up. I had a seed in my current grow pop at 7 days.
Try seedling between 2 moist toilet paper on a plate.
Flank the plate with a plastic film and let for 3 days at obscurity. And ambient temperature
Then, dig few deeper your germinated seeds, root toward bottom. Watering with a spray in order to avoid digging deeper your seed.
Next try will be ok
Thanks @Manukatche! Actually that’s what I did. The taproot popped from my paper towel but when placed in soil, somehow didn’t emerge from the soil. So possibly I’m guessing either i planted abit too deep and I kept spraying water 2-3 times a day with the worry it dries out or probably the temperature of the room thats can be abit hot around 32.5C to 34C would be probably the cause of it not coming sprouting. Yep, I guess better luck in my next try
