Hey guys I’m a new grower and I’ve come across some info where people say we dont want male cannabis plants, why is this.
Dont they produce or can’t they be smoked?
Male’s dont produce buds. Therefore there’s nothing to smoke

Only females produce flowers that can be smoked or turned into concentrates or edibles. Male plants only produce pollen sacs that will pollenate any female around them and make the females flowers way less potent and focus on growing seeds instead of dense heavy and potent buds. Growing males is basically just for breeding new strains, example= if you take a female gelato in flower and sprinkle strawberry kush males pollen on the flowers of the gelato you will have seeds at harvest to grow a “strawberry gelato kush” strain. @Taylor
