If you don’t have a growlog please answer these questions.
What strain are you growing? Is it Auto, Fem or Reg?
Are you growing Indoor or outdoor?
Are you using nutrients? Which ones? How much?
Hey everyone, new grower here. I believe I am using fem seeds, grown from seed and I think are now in vegetation stage. I’m growing mostly outdoors.
They are now at 3 weeks and 3 days since I planted them in red solo cups. I think it might be time to switch them over to 5 gallon containers from their cups, but not certain.
I just wasn’t sure where to go at this point. I do have nutrients and better soil for the bigger containers, I don’t know what strain they are. Just wanted some advice on what to do next. Any advice is welcome. Thank you!!!
Give her another couple days in the solo and then go for it, transplant away. Make sure to fill your pots fully. You can create a micro climate when you plant like you did pictured here. Make sure to fill them pots all the way up.
Thank you for the reply!!! I was just afraid of causing too much shock and stressing the ladies out. It’s my first time trying this and am a little anxious and nervous about messing things up. Lol
Every single last one of us has all been there at one point. You will find out, there are resilient plants. They can take a beating if you treat their environment right.
Relax and have fun man.
My advice is to not use nutrients at this size and definitely don’t water for awhile. Let the soil dry and make bigger drainage holes at the bottom. It looks a bit sufricated. After fry transplant to bigger pots.
Good luck
When the leafs become pale and yellow, the soil is to wet. And when they are growing thin and tall in that stage, they have not enough light. And when you transplant them you can bury the stem right unter the cotyledons (sugar leafs). If these would be my plants, I just would add some soil first before transplanting them. But i’m sure not everyone here would agree with that. Good luck!
Lynx is correct. Those little leaves that are curling down are called cotyledon leaves and I would bury them in your next transplant or if you add soil to the cups.
The cotyledons eventually get cannibalize for resources, the sugar leaves don’t grow until the pistils and flowering starts, but ooo man are the cutest lil things lol. They’ll grow around the colas.
It took me a while to really get an understanding of all the various parts of the cannabis plant, so hopefully this helps.
Yep, I added soil to them last night! Since I did, I’m going to wait another 2 weeks before I move them over to new pots. They are still in the red cups for now. But I did get the soil added and as of this morning they now look like this. Burying up to 2 1/2 inches still out of the soil. Hopefully I can recover the ladies, they will be 4 weeks tomorrow from seed to where they are today.
Hello @Jimthompson1859, welcome to the community! The seedlings are looking good, please make sure not to overwater them, they drink mostly from the leaves at this stage, so have=ing a high Relative Humidity (RH 60%-70% is best.
When you do water them, water at the edges of the cup, not near the stem.
