First time grower and almost killed my plants because I didn’t give them nutrients from day 1 in coco coir (realized my mistake now). Went about a month without nutrients. They seem to making a comeback and growing again now that they have been getting nutrients for a few weeks. I’m afraid they may turn into hermies from the trauma. Some have some seriously weird looking leaves now.
How long should it take to start to be able to tell their gender and would the previous lack of nutrients cause them to become hermies? Any advice or tips is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
Hello, I also grow on a coconut substrate. I feed the plants from the beginning of the growing season. Each watering I give a fertilizer solution of 700 ppm and once a week I wash it well with water. Do you have autoflowering or photoperiod varieties?
They are all photoperiod. I will be moving them outdoors once the nights stay above 50 degrees and hoping to cover with breathable cloth to force flower before we hit the extreme AZ heat in July.
They are still too early to transfer to flowering, let them still grow green. For them to bloom they need to make a night of 12 hours and a day of 12 hours then they will bloom. But it’s too early for them to bloom, let them grow up.
It is this stamp that I grow for the first time, it is very tenacious, easily tolerates pruning and bending. As it is, I like the Afghan varieties. Here I have another lady growing up. I want to share photos of my Kryptonite (pyramid seeds) plant
