Ph balance questions

So quick question which ph is most important? Water going in or the run off? Iv been ph balancing my water but I use the vile n drips process to find my ph for the water going in and I get it pretty close between 6 n 7. This morning I tested my runoff after watering n seemed to be more like between 5 n 6. Sooooo should i not be bringing down the ph in my water going in so that the run off is more between 6 n 7?

What strain are you growing? Is it Auto, Fem or Reg?
Are you growing Indoor or outdoor?
Are you using nutrients? Which ones? How much?

Measure your run off for ec/ppm and ph of runoff water. You ideally want runoff ph around 6.2 to 6.7 (assuming you are growing in soil). Be sure to check ph after flushes

Guessing ima need to order me something to take those measurements huh. I haven’t started using nutes just yet. Growing in ffof 3 to 1 per light mix n just recently transplanted about week and a half ago

No you can grow good bud without artificial nutes if the soil is amended for proper nutrients. But do look into nutrient systems fox farms is popular. Just cut the dosage by an 1/8.
