I am a first time grower and any professional looks would be greatly appreciated! I am growing Grape ape strain and the seeds were purchased from a very reputable place and are feminized. I am growing indoors in Coco Coir with temps between 72-78 in the day and 65-70 in the nights with lighting at 12/12. Currently I’m in day 11 of flowering. Using Gen Hydro Flora series with all recommended supplements using the genhyrdo.com drain to waste chart with currently using 3/4 the recommended amount of nutrients with a PH of 5.98 going in and also a PPM of 658 and EC of 1316. Hopefully that is helpful as far as detail. I have 4 plants going from the same strain of Grape Ape. Because I am a new grower I decided on trying different techniques with each plant and also using scrog. I topped 3 of the 4 and the fourth I decided to let the main cola grow without topping but apply Lst to keep it close to canopy level as possible. I know it is still early, flowering day 11, but I know I see pistols for sure on top but down below I see a ball and I am not sure if pistols will come out soon, or did it somewhere Hermie on me? I find believing genetics to be the issue doesn’t seem likely as I only see it so far on one plant and got from a reputable place, and the one I did not top but only did do maybe too much lst? I will wait about another week but any help would be great. Thank you very much to all! I am trying to get pictures unloaded but not sure why not working yet but I will upload asap. Thanks again
Any advice on how to upload pics from my phone? I’m trying the up arrow on the bottom right corner but it is grayed out.
Ok I posted pictures in my archive hopefully you all can see. 1 shows pistols, other one possible male sac? Does anyone know from experience what this is? Thanks!
Hi @VEGASLIFE_702, welcome to the Community!
The upload of the photos is not working if you’re using the Discourse on our app, to post photos you need to use the desktop version for now.
LST training could generate a level of stress to make your plant a male or herm.
About the possible herm, you can share your Growlog so we can take a look at it. If you don’t know, here’s how to.
To share your Growlog:
- In the Grow with Jane app, tap on the plant’s name
- Tap on the Growlog icon at the top right corner and Share
- Copy the link and send it to me by email
Thanks for your help! I posted the pictures
Well, I would say that is a male, but the 3rd photo has some pistils too, so it’s probable herm.
I had a plant look like this and it turned out that the preflowers were just wonky and looked male. As soon as she went into full flowering those balls turned to big beautiful flowers.
I have also had hermies that completely ruined my yield but typically the male and female flowers aren’t on the same node like that. In my experience at least.
Pluck those balls!
