Pretty please, with roots on top

Growlog link: [Unknown strain]

I have roots showing at the surface level in my soil. Could this be the result of transplanting too deep or too shallow?
I’ve since added more soil, thinking maybe the soil just settled and exposed the roots? Any takers?

Hi there, you could be right about too shallow transplant, try add more soil and give it a few days, dont panic hehe plants require a few days to relax after transplant. Usually some roots get broken in the transplant and the top of your plant may react. Its normal until 2/3 days after transplant.

True, but the transplant was done September 5. ( The clay watering bottles were removed by the way, seemed like a cool idea at first.)

Whats the size of the pots?

Could be the moist in your pot its remaining on the top, so the roots are goong up for the water?
I imagine that this can be caused for the water bottles you took off, but its hard to know from here :frowning:

5 gallon fabric pot . Like I mentioned in the grow log I did flush it and the soil may have just settled that much. Idk. The plant itself is doing well thus far.

Nothing really to worry about these are called feeder roots and they uptake water and nutrients from the soil and contain beneficial Mycorrhizae

Okay yeah I see. Was checking it out and discovered that these plants have like a whole “plant root to soil interface” called the Rhizosphere. Which in turn creates mycorrhizal fungi or the communication network that allows the plant to interact with the soil. I think… good looking out, @WavvyBaby I would have never dug deeper if it wasn’t for your response.
