Reading a city water quality report

Got my annual city water report curious if anyone understands how to read them and possibly give some feedback

Probably should have sent pics  here ya go

Thats a bit more focused on safety for drinking water, not for irrigation but it seems ok, a bit too much chloride.

The pH is a bit high so you might have some carbonates or something like that but its not expressed in the test.

Not an expert but hope i can help

Yeah the ph comes out at around 8 i always have to ph down a little but that was about the only thing i understood on it

You think the sodium level is ok? I know im adding more salts with nutes just not sure if that starting number is not ideal

Hahaha yeah those just express the amount in ppm of each substance, then you take them into consideration doing a cation/anion balance to see what your plant will get with X fertilizer. Or to detect a problem as when there is too much EC already in the water because of metals or carbonates. So if the TDS is high you woll habe less space to fertilize.

Cant find the sodium

Ahhh okay cool i think im picking up what your throwing down and thanks for the info

53 ppm is the sodium

Its high! I never let my solution go higher than 23ppm

Guess im switching to ro water

Its always better anyways, but there are other cheaper filters that would get the sodium and carbonates down

Ill check into that since 12 plants gonna get pricey in water and much respect for the info dude thank you

Nice thanks for giving me something to compare to your awesome

This is already with the nutrient solution. So your water + nuts should be around those numbers…of course the best is to work with 0s and work your way up with fertilizers. But if you have some P or K or other nutrient in your water you can count them in.

Welcome man! Happy to help!
