Should I cut (lollipop) again?

Did you change something basically on this datas?

It’s a new environment so I’m still working to dial it in. Also I had the tent before I had the controller.

All issues and fails are past right now. I learned from it, but right now I’m quite satisfied. Thanks to you all guys. It was a huge help. Love you. :heart: @ItsOzzie @BluntForceTrauma420 @Wargoat

Day 50 in flower. Approximately 10 days left. I keep you updated.

  1. Switching off the lights 24 or 48 hours before harvesting to tear down chlorophyll? What would you do? Or it doesn’t matter?

  2. I have 3 different plants (strains, genetics). 2 of 3 are ready for harvesting in 2 days I guess. I have to harvest at the same time, because I just have 1 tent. If I harvest at different times and hang some in another room without filter system, the entire street will smell. Maybe it’s paranioa, but I don’t want that risk. What would you do? Any advice will be helpful at this time right now. Here are some trichomes from all 3 plants. What do you think about that?

Should I harvest asap or can I wait till saturday evening. This pics are from 4 days ago.

Some more informations:

It’s Day 59 in flower. I have 3 different strains. The seed companies say:

  1. Durga Mata 2 => 55 days
  2. Kama Kush CBD=> 58 - 62 days
  3. CBD Skunk Haze => 8,5 - 10 weeks :crazy_face:

Can I go till day 63 with 1. and 2.? What are your experience? 2 of 3 looks really ready for harvest.

I have 2 dates. Thursday evening or Saturday evening. Day 61 or day 63. I have to find the middle way for 1. and 3. That’s it. 1. is over date and 3. is behind. I try to find the sweet spot. For sure I don’t like over driven plants. Isn’t it? Maybe I make a cut at day 61?

I made 3 videos with date and time 3 days ago. Maybe it helps:

  1. Durga Mata II => Durga Mata II - 2023-10-28-18-20-42

  2. Kama Kush CBD => Kama Kush CBD - 2023-10-28-18-50-39

  3. CBD Skunk Haze => CBD Skunk Haze - 2023-10-28-18-54-48

Digital microscope. Wait for the focus and press pause. It’s hard just by hand. I will do the same tomorrow and post it here again. I will try to do it more excatly.

Personally 24 and 48 hours of darkness has been proven bro science so I don’t do that, the ice down of the soil or stem splitting. I think for your harvesting situation I’d harvest it as it’s ready. I sometimes even only harvest a partial plant if the lowers are not ready. In my opinion I don’t see the point of trying to get everything out the same day. The plant I just harvested was one of 3. The other 2 are still finishing up and will be chopped as they are ready. My drying closet is set up to maintain 60RH so even as I add fresh plants the environment will still have the same RH. If that’s your worry about choosing separate days, I’d choose to harvest each when I feel they are done.

As for the pics, I prefer more amber on most strains but those definitely look pretty ripe for the picking.

Thanks for your answer @BluntForceTrauma420

If you have just 2 possibilities? Thursday evening or saturday evening. What you do? Like a factory at harvest day? I just have this 2 dates with help from 2 people. No time anymore. Harvest and cleaning floor and everything around. Start drying and wait 10 days. What would you do? If you have to go on with totally another jobs?

But do you wait till darkness or it doesn’t matter? So you also can harvest at day time, right? Sorry for this stupid question. Already answered. :joy: So much myths outside. This question is marked at done.

I still need an answer for => day 61 or 63? There is no another choice.

They look ready to harvest. If your options are harvest Thursday or Saturday then im picking Thursday. You can havest day or night, it wont make a difference. Dont over think it, as long as your drying environment is spot on all the other myths are not all important.

Congratulations on the grow. The pictures look great. Finish it off with a great dry. Cheers

What do you think how long the drying process will need at about 20 °C (68 °F) and 53,7% RH with your experience?

Your temp n humidity sounds good i will probably aim for somthing the same RH below 60 and temp between 20°c /22°c and a dry time of maybe 2 weeks / longer. U have spent all your time growing these babys no need to rush the final steps i been doin some research on grow with jane and seems the longer the better. then you should have the best buds to cure also. I read you dont want any high heat it degrades the thc, somthing along them lines and high humidity you will run the risk of mold also u need good air circulation in and out im no pro but im sure you got this well done on the grow looks awesome. How much did each plant yield wet and dry if u could tell use that would be great knowledge i cannot guess looking at the plant but they look healthy :muscle::raised_hands::partying_face::partying_face::confetti_ball::tada::confetti_ball:

I always shoot for 60F and 60 RH. You’ll want a fan to get air movement around the plant. Just dont put a fan pointed directly at the plants. It’ll dry them out too soon. My goal is to slow dry for 16 days.

At your temps and humidity. Im guessing 7-10 days. Give or take. Also keep in mind the first few days the rh is going to be higher. Wet plants. As they dry out it will drop. There are other factors like where you live also…

Thanks for your answer @ItsOzzie

I still have this 3 fans inside the tent. 2 on the floor are turning around. Not directly pointing on the buds. I was downstairs and had a look inside the tent. If I open you can feel the good airflow and buds are moving a little bit.

I will keep an eye on temp and RH.

I understand that the moisture will go out from the buds with time and the RH will drop.

Can I add my humidifier to keep the RH for example at 55% or is it a bad idea?

The tent is in basement by the way. Heatings there are off. Outisde next room I measure 16,9 °C at 57% RH.

And the weather forecast will be like this.

Are you doing dry or wet trimming? I do dry trimming.

I have my humidifier connected to a controller. So it will turn on and keep it around 60RH. Where i live the summer rh here is in the low 40s, winter is higher around 60rh. I keep my tent in the garage. So, rain can be a factor also. If it rains, rh will spike up. Thats where i needed an exhaust and good airflow so it wouldn’t mold.

Before i had all the equipment i was drying in my closet. Used an a/c to keep it around 60F and my house rh normally stays in the 50-60 range.

I dry trim, i hang the whole plant. I just pull the fan leafs off. It helps prolong the drying process to get my desired 16 days. This might not work for some in higher RH environments.

@ItsOzzie - Maybe I will go little bit higher with RH and try to reach 14 days. Then we can make next trimming and start curing party at saturday in 2 weeks. :rofl: :partying_face:

I have a smart heating in this room and a smart humidifier. It’s not a ready solution from the cannabis market, just smart devices. As I am in the basement, the conditions are very stable at all. And I can play a lot with windows and doors.

Further I will reactivate my weather station tomorrow for more datas. Batteries are empty outside. I will do it tomorrow.

14 days is good. Should get good quality. Every couple days check the stems. Thats the best way to know when its ready for jar.

I really don’t know @Grant2047 - I never weigh them wet, because it’s just for personal use. I hope for 250g (8,8 oz) dried minimum. I would be satisfied about it. And anything above very happy. But I will tell you the excatly result after trimming before they goes into the jars.
