Suggestions on what brand and wattage grow light to get for indoor

Yes sir! And you didn’t come across rude at all. I always love to hear people’s opinions on things. I’ve pretty much learned everything I know from conversations like this!

I just bought the vivosun 4x4 kit it was the only one in my price range it was like 500. Now what I need to know is can you look at my grow log and look at my plant and tell me what’s the next thing I need to do with the plant I think it’s like two and a half weeks into veg right now

It will not allow me to see them but you can post the r link here and we can view it. Personally I went from soil to coco/perlite at a 70/30 ratio. I use Gaia Green Ammendments and Bushdoctor calmag. It’s as simple as preammend, then top dress every 30 days. But post that log I can check it out!

Grow with Jane - Your Cannabis growing experience just saw your response here goes the link right here bro. I also added some wood ash to my soil today to try and raise my pH the level is a two in the soil and I need it up to a seven Google said lime or wood ash so I put some of that in it and watered it today

If your ph is that low i would start flushing with some water adjusted to something higher like 7 and try to raise it that way. From there start checking the ph of everything you water/feed with and keep it in the 6.2-6.5 range if possible.

Using all that soulmates can masss you up if you do just a little too much. Ngl I’d try to see about digging her up, moving her to a small pot so it dries quicker, and then your gonna need to flush the old soil and/or get some new soil for that baby. But at that low, nothing will grow for cannabis, so you may have to dump a couple gallons through. Also what soil are you using? Getting down to 2 ph isn’t the easiest thing to do especially if I got good potting soil or a good mix. What soil are you using? Also going forward DROP MIRACLE GROW. It screws weed plants over. For some basic stuff I’d recommend Gaia green or Fox Farms Trio. You’ll need some pH up and pH down, with a ph pen and an EC pen to do the best you can for this plant. But DONT USE MG, it’s extended veg will screw everything up. I want to have some organic really strong weed, so If I were you I’d figure out organic options

I made a mistake and read the wrong line of the meter the soil pH is fine it is in the green on the meter and the pH from the runoff water from feeding is at 6.68. I got my 4x4 tent and got imthe plant moved over in it. What is the next steps now from this point? She’s growing still :person_shrugging:

From this point its basically a waiting game until it bulks up a little bit. Just keep up with the water and food adjusted to a ph of 6.2-6.5, probably feed every third or so watering. A couple of weeks of stability should get it to where you can start really working with it some more.

Thats a much better number so i wouldn’t worry about that now

Hey crack a friend of mine showed me how to do some low stress training on my plant so I did it and it’s looking pretty good I have a video of it but I can’t post it on here they only let me post pics and I also added two more red full spectrum grow lights 500 more watts to go with the 400 w white one that I had already with the tent so that’s 900 w total

To post a video you need to post it to YouTube or similar and post the link in the comments

I’ve been growing about 20 years, started with two 48inch fluorescent shop lamps and was successful for several years. Didn’t get great yields but I don’t need much. Upgraded to 200 watt fluorescent grow lamps and got better yields. Finally upgraded to two 1000 watt spider farmer leds and these have worked beautifully. Not real cheap but not expensive compared to some options out there and give great results.

Thanks for the welcome, @Smokey101!

I didn’t really know what I was doing for a long time, so don’t look to me for old ways. My best successes came when I switched to growing in coco coir and learned from the guys at cocoforcannabis. And I’m envious of you folks with your grow tents and controlled environments; I’m forced to grow in my shed so heat and humidity can be a problem. I had one year where a plant got bud rot, last year one girl had a bad aphid infestation. This year I’m growing an Alien OG that I’ve read can take humidity, and so far so good (fingers crossed). I hope to harvest in a a few weeks.
