Time to cut?

Unknown strain. Indoor.
My question is: when should I defoliate/cut the 3rd tier from the top ? Plant is approximately a month old.

Are you referring to topping or defoliation before flowering?

Yes. It’s a younger plant.

I normally top when I have 6 nodes but I’ve heard others top at 4 nodes. I think it’s best to top when you the 1/2 nodes just begin to form branches, there for when you remove the top the branches are already formed and will grow rapidly and catch up with the 2 new tops.

Using that method and low stress training i ended up with a really nice canopy with alot of tops!

Hi @Abramstanker, welcome to the Community!

I’ve always waited for the 4th and the cut, it would take a little bit more to harvest, but the branches are bigger and the main stem too.
