Been working a lot more lately and havent got to check on the girls as much. Shes gotten a lot bigger in just a few days. Should we trim off the bottom shade leaves now???
Yes, you can remove the leaves closest to the soil, and tuck or remove any fan leaves at the top of the plant that are blocking bud sites.
Awesome! There’s a few on top i didnt even think about!
Hows the plant looking to you?
Looking good ![]()
A general rule is to not remove More than 30% at a time. If it were my plant, I would remove all the inner pointing fan leaves that are blocking all the inner nodes/bud sites. as well as any fan leaves near the dirt that are not getting any light.
Rasta, you are a rock star! Thank you, sir. ![]()
Yeah man, what do you think?
When I look a the picture I sent you with the arrows, i can see 8 Bud sites. Now, this new picture, I can see like 15-16! so yeah, what you just did increased your yield potential by that much…
I would also tie down the longest 4 branches to make them more even with the canopy, or even lower than the canopy. This will give all the inner nodes time to catch up and you will then have an nice even canopy in a bout 3 weeks.
Awesome! Thats beautiful news! This is our first attempt, so im glad its going good so far! Once again, thank you for all the information, helps a lot.
Enjoy the journey.
You are blessed to have access to such a great community of growers. I am happy to help, especially people when they are as enthusiastic as you are and they actually learn and grow as a grower, as you are. Keep it up mate!
