To train, or not to train

First time grower and not sure if I should try LST or try it on my next grow. I already put this crop through some nutrient deficiency early on, but they made a nice recovery. I am not sure if I should really try to stress them more, but could be a good experiment and learning opportunity.

Currently indoors but will be moving them outdoors come April. I am wondering if an even canopy will really be needed once outdoors, and if it might be better not to train since I will have plenty of vertical space but may be limited in horizontal space.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

@Missa if you plan on outdoors I would top or trim anything until they start to flower which I assume will happen outdoors. I’ve seen someone grow indoors for 3 months with no training and transplant into the dirt in mid may and had a 15ft tall plant that produced over a pound of flowers, well worth it!

That is crazy! Topping makes sense. Yes, I will be attempting to force flower outdoors with a light deprivation tarp before the extreme AZ summer hits. I am little concerned I couldn’t find something breathable and 100% block out though.
