I’m growing banana sundae, og wedding, and white widow, all photoperiod. Doing indoors with coco. I use AN nutrients at Varying strengths.
My question is if anyone has ever put airlines in their medium? My brother and I were discussing the importance of air to roots. Doing a little bro thinking and wondering if anyone else had thought of it or implemented air lines in their medium. I’m waiting on an air pump to try it. I was hoping someone would have some knowledge on the situation?
Look at the autopots thats exactly what they do. Airdome in the bottom is awesome
Yes airpots are your best bet. I grew in soil for many years and now only hydro but the bud produced from rich soil is amazing. No need to add an airstone to a soil grow. Hydro absolutely, soil no benefits.
I use fabric pots already. I’ve noticed that it is very hard to overwater using the lines, not stones. I use a soil moisture meter and it doesn’t ever read wet. No matter where I place it in the pot. I use the stones in my hydroponic bucket, which I will be doing more of. The growth has taken off and is very full and lush. To me the more air to the root zone the better but I’m new to growing.

Why would there be no benefit to adding more air to the roots? They need water and oxygen to grow correctly. I tend to overwater being new so the extra oxygen can’t hurt. Once I transplanted into the pot with the airlines in it the growth took off.
Using the fabric pots gives plenty of oxygen. After saying that I have never added airstones to a soil grow, so maybe you are right. If your plants seem to like it I say go for it. I am here to help but I can always learn more. Good luck growing, it is an addiction, lol.
I made custom tubes using irrigation tubing. I only drilled holes on the bottom in hopes of keeping water and debris out. I put 4 lines per set and they go around the pot in a circle and I have the 4 circles going from the bottom of the pot to the top. I pulled this set for the outside of a 10 gallon pot from storage or else they would be straight and round.
