What is your equipment setup? And what do you love/hate about it?

@Blazedpug do you have a diy instructions for your netting or just build it outta your head?

I currently have a few systems. In one tent I have DWC this is my normal veg tent but I cycled mothers through flowering atm.

This setup is my clones. I have a Aeroponics machine for rooting purposes. The solo cups just kinda veg the plants to keep ‘em alive really. The recirculating system there super grows the clones it seems… lol

This last system is a 6 - pot ebb n flow system with a 55 gallon barrel used for the nute tank. I just bought an expansion pack for it to add 6 more barrels. My new light got stuck in a production hold but it’s coming. Lol

I have a couple questions. Aren’t you supposed to keep the CO2 bags away from the exhaust fan so the exhaust fan doesn’t suck the CO2 out? I know the CO2 is heavier than air and sinks but I would think 12 inches or closer would let the exhaust fan suck it out but not sure? And my next question is why are some lights so compact and small while others have long bars and a much wider area? I would think they would have lights that dim on slowly like the sun does and not just blast on, and also have periods where the light dims as to simulate clouds…? And then maybe have a light that is kind of oval in shape so the light shines on the plant from the side then moves over it (just to mock the sun as much as possible). I was told to give my plants as much light as I can, without burning them obviously. So i put my old LED right above and between two of the light bars from my new LED light (by Growers Choice). Is this bad idea or ok?
Thank you!

I posted some pics to get some feedback on anything you see that you think I should do, i.e. - trimming, thinning, removing LST lines (just hanging), plants too close together, ? Lastly, if i harvested with the trachomas clear to clear/whitish, will it still create a high at all? Thanks so much!

It’s 1" PVC pipe, 4 four way couplings.
Drill holes about 3" apart and thread the holes with string.
When the time comes to harvest cut all strings remove frame.

Awesome! I may just have to build me on or these. I need stability in middle of the walls between the poles! :joy:

If you guys have time… no worries if not!

Nice set up and pics.

I am not an indoor grower, so I cant help you with your questions, unfortunately.

Tough to simulate natural growing conditions, growing inside.

You make good points about light and dim, sunrise and sunset, and simulated clouds and sun movement.

However, you will find pros and cons and different challenges growing indoors vs outdoors.

You have to decide what is best for you.

I’m not bashing indoor growing at all. For me, outside is easier, cheaper, I’m not limited by space and I feel you just cant replicate what mother nature does for your plants. Ie: sun moving overhead, wind blowing in different directions, temperatures, heats, humidity. All which are mostly out of my control, obviously. It just works better for me.

That said…there are a lot of competent growers here, indoor and outdoor. I’m sure someone will chime in.

Happy growing.

Welcome back @Austingreenest, and your girls look great, your right they need plenty of light, and reading your post, it works be great if it worked like that but I don’t think mimicking the clouds is a good idea, just my thoughts and no pro but if your growing autos now that you’re in flower about 2.5 weeks I world tuck any fans covering sites but if your growing photopariod I’d give them good defoliation and let your light get down into the low sites, and of you’ve not clean up the bottom, 3rd,bud sites that are not going to mount to nothing popcorn bud, take them off and let there energy go to the top to give you nice bigger denser buds,
Hope there’s something here can help, lovely gris,
And if your trics are still clear and some cloudy your not going to get a high, all milky cloudy is the highest potency of thc, 15 to 30 %, Amber will give you more of a couch lock stone that’s my area, and all cloudy is a great high, well hope it helps mate

Yes its best to keep away from outtake, the co2 will drop, its best to have a fan near that co2 bag so when it drops it spreads around.

Well then, you’re actually just who I could really use right now bc I’m over the cost, stress, liability growing indoors and can grow outside, well, maybe. I live in Gainesville Florida so during summer it gets up over a hundred with days having 80-90% RH nonstop. So I’m guessing it would have to be during cooler months… correct?

So here are the triches right before I harvested. If I’m early, oh well. Have another auto ready in a week or two and the 3 photos. Do these look ready, i.e. cloudy? Thanks Dean! @Deanroche

@Stoney1BudTokie Gotcha. I have a lot of airflow and air exchange so not sure if 5 bags would do anything or if I’d have to get a bottled system installed. But I’m not bc I want to grow outdoors now. Was just wondering bc I have another month or two of flowering… thoughts?

You can grow outside in Florida. You would have to take some precautions, I’m sure.

You may need to use a sunscreen for overwhelmingly hot days . But as long as you keep up with watering, they should be fine.

Before you take my word for it…I’d hit up some forums or whatever about growing in Florida.

Yeah got it. I’ll build a greenhouse to regulate temp and humidity, or at least help it achieve better conditions.

How can a cannabis plant come out of good quality buds when it’s 80-90% RH a majority of the time? With the exception of a greenhouse.
Thanks bud.

That size the co2 cannisters would be overkill. Get an xl exhale bag or two and your good to go

Throw the plants in the ground. Air temps are different from potted to indoor. In ground the roots are taking in cooler soil temps than potted plants. So if you grow strains in ground that are native to the florida heat and humidity you are good. Go for mold and pest resistent strains. A good Sativa or hybrid sativa should thrive in florida.

So I got some C02 bags and also did some thinning and removing the popcorn buds down low and bunched up in the middle.
What temp can I go up to now that I’ve added the co2?? I’m just under 80 right now.

Raise to 82-86

Any other things I could do to improve in any area? I’m bout to just get a tent… these portable AC units just don’t work for some reason and they’re $400… and I’m on my third one🤦🏼‍♂️
