ADVICE PLEASE. Im growing medium for 4 auto royal cookies

Hey i need some advice… Im away to start germinating my seeds. i have my tent set up and had it on 2 days to check the data and everything is fine. But im away to mix my medium. So i have 4 x 20l fabric pots, 50l of professional mix 70/30 cana coir, 15l wormcastings 10l of perlite and clay balls for bottom of the pots. So… im using grow dots and i keep hearing using calmag. I have calmag. Do i use cal mag every watering, or every second etc? Do i use it from the start? Do i need clay pebbles for drainage in fabric pots? And do i leave a 2 inch difference between medium with grow dots and the top 2 inch without so the roots dont get any nutrients for a week or 2? Any advice will be Amazing as this is my first real grow

Hello and welcome back to the community. I can answer a few of your questions for ya. 1. Fabric pots are great for airflow but soil could still get compacted and it wont hurt to add a layer of clay balls to the bottom. 2. Calmag will always be a must unless soil is super dialed in and even then eventually will need it and wont hurt to start off every feeding day add calmag with feed and if plants seem to eat it up you can use it every watering. 3. The grow dots i also have a small bag to try them out since i buy there recharge faithfully but have not actually used them yet but based off everything ive found about them they sound perfect for autoflowers since the feed windows line up with a 30 day veg 60 day flowering with the exception of maybe needing a feeding towards end of flowering cycle so id probably just follow as directed on package. Hope this helps a little bit and im sure others will chime in

Forgot to mention may not need to use calmag right away depending on how plants look and release amount from the grow dots.

If you’re planning to run a coco/perlite mix there’s no need for the worm castings as you will be running an inert, soilless media and normally be providing all nutrients through daily feedings. That being said, when using a time release nutrient such as Grow Dots in coco, I have seen decent results from autos when bottom watering at pH 5.8. A 5 gallon container with coco, perlite and Gro Dots should carry an auto to harvest on water only . . . a heavy feeder or photoperiods will require additional nutrients in the flowering period. The Canna Coco Plus is well buffered and with proper watering the Grow Dots may supply enough CA to carry an auto through to harvest, but be prepared to supplement with Cal/Mag.
