Hey.
Do you guys keep the fan going 0/24, does that stress the plant and take away growing to make stems thicker??
Or just occasionally ?
Thank for the advice.

Hey bro! Just like in nature, I leave the wind on 24 hours during the entire run.
The whole point here is to give the stem something light to stand up against. This process is known as hardening off.
Either is fine . . . if you have heat/humidity issues run it, if not put it on a timer. I run mine on timer.
As @Allan says, wind in nature isn’t related to day or night . . . but I’ve never lived anywhere that had 24/7 wind either . . . and I’ve spent a many an evening camping and fishing on the river and one thing I’ve learned is that the wind tends to lay down as night approaches.
Yeah that why I’m asking. In outdoor they get like 4-8 hours wind and this country is famous for being windy. Capetown. So it’s okay to have the fan a few hours daily?
Hi @Afrinyo, I strongly advise you to keep both the fans and the air extractor/intruder on 24/24. Unless you are using CO² input, in this case you should stop the air circulation for a couple of hours when you turn on the lights, to allow the plants to absorb the CO².
Don’t compare with the outside. In a grow box, the environmental parameters (humidity, temperature, air circulation and exchange, photonic pressure, etc.) must always be kept in the right range. Plants benefit from the presence of air (not directed at the plant) for various reasons: they strengthen themselves, pockets of stagnant humidity are not created which can cause mould, it makes the temperature in the room uniform.
Best wishes.
Im on a 20/4 light cycle with stable °c and % so I run a small USB powered fan (cheap Amazon) on the floor of my .75 x .75 x 2m tents constantly and have a 6" Ram clip fan with attachments removed as causes dead spots in the light coverage ! now hung upside-down attached with soft ties this blows across the canopy between light and plant and is set to turn on and of with light cycle. I feel this avoids direct contact with air flow and whilst lots of air is moving around inside the grow space the plant just gets tickled and you will see her just jiggling randomly. Hope this helps chap, not saying its the correct or best way but its the way I do it a me and the girls are happy
Also try and keep your fan blades clean as this effects air flow.
