Trimming the leaves them selves vs pruning the whole leaf and stem, what are the pros and co s of this?

If you don’t have a growlog please answer these questions.
What strain are you growing? Is it Auto, Fem or Reg?
Are you growing Indoor or outdoor?
Are you using nutrients? Which ones? How much?

I trim the leaf and leaf stem otherwise the stems make bucking the buds a pain. But don’t prune branches that will reach the height of the canopy.
