Broken branch

I was moving my plant into the sun this morning and accidentally bumped a large stem from the bottom of the main stem it was still kind of connected… I immediately tied hemp wick to bring it back together. After that I put some duct tape to help hold it a little better… also read online to put honey on the the area that broke so I put a tiny bit on the outside of the split. should I see if it will heal its self or brake off the branch all together? it was time to water my plants as well as they were starting to droop so I did and even the branch that was coming off perked up too and help or suggestions would be very helpful thanks in advance!!

That’s a shame, but it could still survive. What you did was okay, now you just need to wait a little to see how it develops. I had broken branches before, but never the main branch, it was more at the mid section.
It could heal, just give it some time.
Also, it’s been 6 days of this, how is it looking now?

It’s doing good nothing is drooping on that branch, so far so good!

Your solution is the exact same thing I do & it works very well. I think it’ follows the same concept of grafting used for fruit trees etc.

I’ve never put honey or anything on the broken area myself. It might help, who knows. Lol

Is there anything duct tape can’t do?
