Hard to tell but Iāve had that before. Do those buds just fall apart? If so, most likely
It looks like it to me. Itās not something you want to take chances with.
No, they do not.
Itās clearly moldy, you can see it if you zoom in and look at the stem, definitely donāt use it anymore, throw it away. Itās healthier
as bad as it is, but it would be too risky for me.
Definitely Bud Rot, I also had it in the summer. The brown spots are dry and are usually easy to remove from the flower. Dispose of all flowers that show these signs before the spores spread to other flowers. It is harmful to health to consume these flowers.
Thanks. I set it aside to see if it progresses further and confirm itās mold or it stops and itās good to smoke.
Thanks for the help.
But hopefully well separated from your stash, because if spores start flying, the āanti-funā will spread ![]()
Yes, in another mason jar.
The spores are already flying . . . have been since he started handling that bud. Anyone whoās dealt with botrytis knows it . . . and knows it should have been put in an incinerator rather than a jar.
@dxn_gwj Clean your grow area and equipment well, if not itās likely you will see this on future grows
Bummer man! But better safe than sorry. I got that on my last outdoor grow and thatās what pushed me to spend the money and grow indoors
It is 100% clearly bud rot Iām sorry to say. Cut it off and hope it hasnāt spread
Clearly, down by the last bud, it also looks like that between the bud and the branch. Look very carefully now, otherwise it can still spread during curing. If Iām not sure,
Hi, I think the simplest and quickest way to avoid contaminating your other plants is to check them under a microscope or with a magnifying glass to see if you can spot any mold growth. If you find mold, remove all the affected flowers.
A good trick to detect mold is to turn off the light and take a black light tube into the tent; when itās on, the mold practically glows at you and you can check the entire plant in 10 minutes.
