I was gifted some seeds and have them started into the vegitative stage. I have no idea what type or strain except that one is “auto” and others are supposedly femalized…
Someone told me you can look at a plants leaves and tell if it is indica or sativa but honestly I have no idea what I’m looking for…
Any help ?
Welcome to the community and i hope you enjoy it here as for your question yes you can tell which trait the plant is leaning towards most times. Sativa leaning plants normally tall with slim leafs where as indica traits are normally small squatty bushes with fat fingered leafs. And hybrids (which basically everything is these days) tend to have both traits with fat ones at first and then thin ones towards flowering stage and those are normally a 50/50 indica/sativa strain or somewhere in that range
Bottom looks to be taking on an indica dominant traits. And top one seems to be the hybrid type i was referring to where its probably close to a 50/50 trait.
Node spacing is another little hint that the plants give a lot of the time too. Indica leaning strains will typically have much shorter spaces between than most sativa heavy ones even growing under the same lights.
