Once you germinate a auto flower seed. It will grow and finish on its own timer. The hours of light dont matter. 5 hrs or 24hr of light makes no difference on when it will flower and then die. If you take a cutting from a auto, its life cycle would be the same as the plant you cut it from.
Photo period seeds are different. They will only flower if the daylight is less then about 13hrs. So, as long there is enough hours of light it’ll stay in vegetative growth for as long as you want. You could take cuttings from the plant and clone them. Then let your cutting grow up. Then flip the light cycle to 12hrs on and off.
