Defoliating During Flowering

Hi Growers

White Widow seeds, 60/40 Coco Perlite, transplanted up through 1gal, 3gal and into 7gal GeoPots, Green Planet Nutrients.
First grow but has been fairly stress free.
Question about defoliating during flowering.
I defoliated lightly but fairly regularly during veg, defoliated two days before flip to 12/12, and then again after 2 weeks of flower. Problem is leaves just keep growing back on mass and are covering bud sites.

I’ve had high humidity (70 - 80%) which I can’t do much about unfortunately, wondering if this is promoting more vegetative growth rather than flowers, even though I’m in Week 3 of flower now.

I’m seriously considering defoliating again as I’m my tent is only 5ft x 3ft x 6.5ft and the bushier the plants the higher the humidity and more restricted airflow.
See pics for where I’m at now, I’ve read a lot that suggests no more defoliation from Week 2 of flowering, some suggest bud-based defoliation around Week 7.
Any and all advice and opinions welcomed.

Being that you humidity is high I would personally defoilating but do it selectively. It is not ideal but nor are you conditions, further in flower you go the more you plants transpire as they feed more meaning if you are unable to fix humidity issue you are going to be running a high risk of mold or bud rot leading to failed crop. Might aswell try to reduce transpiration and if it does lead to less yield just remember it is better then no yield.

Thanks for responding @GreenFire

Yes, aware that bud rot is an issue with high humidity levels. Expecting humidity to drop back into acceptable levels over the next month as we move out of summer, this should coincide nicely with flowering development. Airflow in and under the canopy is good so hopefully this helps.

I will selectively defoliate as you suggest, mainly large fan leaves that are blocking light into the middle of the plants.
While the plants are very healthy, I have read some information that suggests high humidity levels during flowering slows development and this appears to be the case here.

Confident I can nurse the plants through to harvest and get a decent yield. Just interested to know if defoliating during flowering is encouraging the plants to regrow leaves rather than concentrate energy into flower development.

Thanks again.
