My first time growing, it looks like it’s growing buds is this normal?
Is it an auto flower?
Yes watermelon auto
Yes that looks good and on track for Watermelon AF
whats your light cycle? seems a bit short
meaning, a short lights on / off cycle but she is a Sativa and they do stretch allot and slender
It’s definitely flowering, probably like 6 weeks or so from harvest! Next time I’d recommend bigger pots and definitely don’t get cheap on the soil. You can amend and reuse soil. Once I learned that I didn’t hesitate to invest in good soil. Good luck!
It probably triggered flowering about 2 weeks ago. Which is a short veg time. Need a bigger pot if you want bigger plants.
I’m running 18 hours on 6 off
I’m using a organic soil and miracle grow organic
Is it to late to put them in bigger pots?
At this point I would leave them where their at they dont have the time to recover. I would get some flowering nutrients and some cal-mag then ditch the Miracle Grow. Amazon has a good selection and depending where your at there might be a grow supply store close you can get them. I started with Fox Farms but now using Advanced Nutrients costs a little more but worth it.
I second papa, too late to transplant. I use 10 gallon fabric pots and use Fox farms soil. There are better soils but Fox farm is a great starter. You can add amendments to improve as well. Also don’t use miracle grow! I made that mistake on my second grow. Your plants will be fine but would be a lot better off without MG
I’ve used the Fox farms nutrients too but switched to strive nutrients my last 2 grows. Super simple and feel like they’re a lot cleaner
I’ve seen them , but I only mix 1 gallon at a time and the liquid is just easier for me to use.
I have color coded measuring spoons so I don’t need my glasses to mix .
Now if I got a larger setup , more plants and mixed more I would probably switch myself
I wouldn’t transplant during flower. Miracle gro is not ideal. Its not formulated for cannabis. It’ll likely give too much nitrogen into flower. Look at other options if possible.
ok good your on track
Autos dont like transplants its a high risk
we want to always plant the af seed / seedlings in there fkrever home from the start
Thank you for all your responses
I wish I would of joined this group a long time ago
I have been growing these plants like I would grow my tomatoes and peppers
I have a lot to learn
Yea it’s a lot to take in but remember…there is no stupid question here just people trying to help and share their knowledge
I was literally asking the same questions about a year ago and have learned tremendously just asking questions on this app. Don’t worry, you’ll get there in no time. My input for you so far would be bigger pots, no miracle grow, invest in good soil, find nutrients that are easy for you to understand and use. One last tip would be to spend the extra on good seeds. Good soil, good nutrients, good seeds=good weed!
