Drying setup

Will this mars hydro setup work to dry? Trying to cut down on smell so im pulling air through the mars tent with spider farmer inline fan. The tenp and rh showed was just in the tent before the pic

It should do the job perfectly as long as you are maintaining negative pressure in the mars tent you won’t be smelling much if anything assuming there is a carbon filter in the spider tent

There is a carbon filter yes im just curious on the temp and rh levels

If you are able to drop the temp and raise the humidity it would help a little bit but the numbers you have are usually about where I end up most times and it turns out just fine

15°c/60% rh is considered optimal by most people

Yea hard to drop the temp in here more or i would lol ac doesnt like to keep up sometimes

Humidity will go up when plants avtually hanging in there im sure or i can dial back the inline fan a bit

The othe way you can connect the two tents would be with a small length of ducting between the two bottom vents and then run the exhaust fan as normal in the grow tent so the drying tent basically becomes a lung room for the second one.

The mars tent has no opening at bottom for piping. Just the vents with screens on sides

In that case you just leave it how you have it really, maintain enough fan speed to create negative pressure in the drying tent to force the smell through the filter. The catch is you aren’t going to be exhausting much from the grow tent besides what is being forced out of the vents by the air pressure building up. If you are early in the grow it won’t be too much of an issue though

I do have a botttom vent on grow tent as well though open to pull in fresh air

It should be pulling some of that air up with the oscillating fan

This is grow tent rn

Realistically for the amount of time your drying takes its not going to have a huge impact on the grow side so I wouldn’t stress about it.

Looks fine to me. Better than i can maintain at some times lol

Shiiit thats filled up nicely. Good job

Ideally, you wanna a finish product that is +/- 58-62% RH so in order to Dry for 10-12 days is to try and maintain 19-20C (Or less, it’s never too cold to dry but above 20C, Some Terpenes start evaporating) and 56-58% works for me, and my temperature is always 15-17C in my Dry Environment
